Ok - ive now been up for 30 hours straight. In that span of time, i've worked a 10 hour shift, gone to my xmas party and got faced, went to Boa for Mr. Sleezy, then off to work for today. Time couldnt be moving any slower at the moment, but im almost done for the day.
My new partner in crime (Brie) arrive to Boa straight from the x-mas party feelin pretty good. The all ages night had just finished and Rony and the rest of the staff looked as if they had been babysitting 500 children for the past four hours. Had a few laughs with Erica out front remarking on the scandelous clothing worn by some of the 12 year old girls, then made our way inside.
This night was a lot different than the first installment of Sean's XXXtended set. It was somewhat of an odd vibe overall in the early stages, it seemed everyone was being quite floor shy to say the least. People were dancing, but all in the upper levels - so the main floor was quite empty up til close to 3am. I felt this threw Sean off a little bit, as he's used to having the full floor, with fists pumping providing a vibe for him to play off of. Around 4am the energy in the club picked up, and so did the tempo of his set - and he continued to unleash the bombs for the rest of the night. Biruda got a huge response (as it always does), and there were some tracks Sean dropped in the last hour that were just absolutely filthy.
Overall a great set once again man. Although you stated this was a "bad set" for you, i think you're just too damn demanding of yourself - but i think that quality is what has pushed you to be the musical talent you've become. |

You're gonna have a good sleep tonight man!
Too bad the night didn't work out as well as it could have Sean. You can't control these things sometimes. |

I think overall the night was great. Brie and myself had a freakin blast and she actually thought it was the best set she had ever heard from a resident in Toronto.
And yes - sleep is definately in order. Gah. Two hours to go. :wtf: |

I was there around midnight (to pick up a NYE ticket) to witness some of this notorious all ages event. The girls were badly dressed- Ugg boots (and other furry moccasin boots), NO pantyhose (HELLOOOOOO!?!?!? It's like zero degrees out!!!), cheap cotton miniskirts and flimsy small tops, standing outside without any jackets on (HELLOOOOOO!?!?!? It's like zero degrees out!!!). Some fight broke out among some partygoers at the corner of Dundas, and what almost sounded like a gunshot turned out to be the sound of a mailbox crashing into Spadina Ave. Cops were there somehow right away. I dunno why it started, but they let the other 2 involved go without questioning, and quite frankly, they looked like they weren't all that innocent (or sober). I wish they hadn't let them go for personal reasons too... the one they were questioning had a girlfriend, who was on the phone FREAKING RIGHT OUT, YAP YAP YAP, about how 'unfair it was that the real guys who did it got let off' BLA BLA BLA. There was no calming her down.
Aside from that, there were way too many kids hanging on the sidewalk, trying to pick up any girl that walked by (losers- has this modus operandi EVER worked for you??), and upset kids leaving the club, whining about their own personal dramas. I dunno how Boa does it... I'd pluck my eyeballs out. |

Damn I was really looking forward to see sean miller play, I can't take this examination period nonsense any more. I was basically about to chain myself in my room..I wanted to go so bad.
Oh and was it an all ages event, that's what I understood. Wierd. I would feel sorry for the Boa crew if it was so. |
