| ok I'm new to djing and just ordered the vestax pcv-275 mixer. I have read the threads about how it doesn't have a headphone cue, but so many epople have the mixer I thought it wasn't that big of a deal. Well, my question is, for a beginning dj like myself, will I have a hard time learning to beat match with this mixer? Or will I be able to do it. Thanks in advance |

Doesn't have a headphone cue? I have a pcv-275 and it has split cue. |

| alright sweet, that's all I needed thanks. I know it has a split cue but you can't listend to just the cued track or just the playing track in your headphones can you? |

| yes you can, for each channel there is an on/off switch for the cue. You can have all 3 channels in both headphones going at once if you want. |

Sorry, I just want to clarify this cos I was thinking of getting the mixer myself sometime soon.
So it has both:
Split cue - where one channel is in one cup and another in the other cup
Mixed cue - where the tracks are in both cups simultaneously (ie all tracks playing in each cup)
Or does it only have split (by my definition above)?
I'm as slow as a canadian today..... |

Well one thing that the Vestax PCV 275 doesn't have, and I don't remembering anyone on this board mentioning it, is that there's no stereo master out to your headphones.
It's a minor point, but I'd wish it had it. Currently I'm mixing purely in the headphones - my mixer isn't attached to any other audio outputs. Not being able to hear the mix in stereo is a slight inconvenience. But if you're going to connect your mixer to an amp/powered speakers, then it's a moot point.
Other than that, it's a great mixer. Solid feel, awesome looks, and a fair price. |

| This mixer does not have a cue pan switch so you can't fade between the master and the cued track. Not a big deal, though. |
