Should I move to Orlando? Good scene? (pg. 2)

yeah the scene here really sucks. dominated by hip hop and the EDM scene is primarily really bad breaks and D&B. dont move here the only good thing about living in orlando is you can make it from here to miami and back in a day. many times i have driven from Orlando to Space in miami and then right back.

allthough i did recieve a shiny little piece of hope yesterday when i heard that Firestone is under new ownership and will be playing house and trance as their primary music. but we will see how that works out...

Firestone was the when I first moved here.
Then it went all gay

it'd be nice to see it restored to those college nights... i was there like every week

Orlando isn't THAT bad. I like Orlando better than I do south Florida. We've been getting people here lately, we got Tijs, Sander (twice), Dave Seaman, Hybrid (twice), Ferry, DJ Dan... It's looking promising. Yea, on a regular basis you're kind of screwed for going anywhere to find any good music. But that's why WE'RE here, haha, so we can throw parties in the meantime to get a good fix (Btw, we need a party soon!). Miami is only 3.5 hrs away, which, a lot of us make that drive all the time. I think it's a good city, and it's going to explode within the next five years. I doubt I'll be here to watch it explode, but it's okay for the meantime.

Someone tell me how good Club Space in Miami is :-)

Also, none of you would actually live in Miami, right? I just heard so many bad things about the crime rate there... also I want to be close to my friend.

Oh tell me about Rhythm and Flow please :D

And it better not be one of those clubs that consists of a hallway and a bar... and the dancefloor is the hallwaay and the DJ is tugged into a corner somewhere. The people at Vinyl Frontier told me that Crip's Club (or something like that) was the ... and it was a hallway with a bar, lol.

And I don't know how, but I completely forgot to ask about this. If I do move there, is there any good reas to live in? Good as in safe and non-ghetto and reasonably priced. I'd either like to share a place with a roommate or live alone in a 1 bedroom or studio appartment... hopefully around $400 or so a month.

It's almost been a year since the party on Dec. 21st!

lol, I know. But that's the sad part.

P.S. How did ya do on that German exam?

Oh fun gay nights!!

*snickers*

Actually I used to spin at a gay club in Austin... then even THEY sold out to rap music. I mean christ! At least the gay clubs should always play dance music... so disgusting.

But at this point, I am not picky about the crowd or the venue. I want to go into some sort of room that may have a few drinks and hear trance music... and a variety of it. Maybe a light or two with different gel colors shining down would be good too.

Pretty well, I think. There were only a few questions which threw me off. How'd you do?

Who cares if it's on a gay night? I'll go anyway. Have you not been watching the Real World?! Landon and MJ's favourite bar is now the gay bar, and they bring girls home. Suprising since at the beginning they were kind of homophobic, but I guess living with two gay men can do that to you.
