Well, there's more than 5 threads floating around this forum, the NYC forum, the southeast forum, and god knows where else haha, so it's time for an official roll call! Come one, come all, I know people are coming from all over for this, so reply here!
Also, as part of this thread, to save space and confusion, let's resurrect this idea of a meetup. It sounds like there may be two types of meetups up for consideration: one at a bar close to the Bell Center, kind of a meet-and-greet before the party, kick back a few drinks, and just hang out a little. We'll have another "meetup", inside the Bell Center, at some pre-designated spot, for people to meetup once we're inside. We still need to work out details for both of these, so Montreal locals, and peeps that have been there before, let's hear what you think!
oh, and in case any one needs further info, here are the set times:
Eddy Jasmin: 9-12pm
Sneak: 12-2 am
Simon P: 2-4am
Dj Dan: 4-6am
Sander K: 6-9 am
Max Graham: 9-12am

Meetup Details:
Well, this is only a few nights away, so I decided it's better to have SOMETHING planned than nothing :) Looking at Epicurous' list for potential places, it sounds like Cage aux Sports --- Sports Bar/Restaurant is the place to make it!!! this place is literally inside the Bell Center, and sounds like a nice place to keep back a few drinks and meet up. So here are the nitty gritty details:

| I'll be there for sure with 7-8 non-TA people. I'm pretty sure I'll make the pre-Celebration meet-up with my friends, as long as it's not too early. I'm also up for the "inside the Bell center" meet-up, but we have to know what the layout looks like before we actually plan that. |

I don't know what their plan is for the Celebration layout, so I'll go based on what I remember at Cream. If I'm not mistaken, the DJ booth was at 107, and the VIP elevated section was around 101. looking at the map, and assuming the booth is the same place it was last time, it sounds like the 109/110 area sounds nice for a meetup location... seems close to the DJ, and out of the way at the same time... what do yall think?
and if the booth is set up at the opposite end, ie 119, we just meetup at the 116/117 area. of course cell phone number exchange will help a lot, but who knows how much you'll be able to hear/recognize your cell :eyes: we could agree on some time, maybe 1:30am, to meetup? or just come in and out as the night goes on
as for the pre-celebration meetup, i know someone was talking before about a pretty cool bar right next to the bell center, does anyone remember this? or have their own suggestions?? |

^^^^^ Thanks :p But I've heard from pretty much everyone that I've talked to that the set-up isn't going to be the same as for Cream. In fact, we don't know whether it's going to be at the other end or in the middle or on the sides or anywhere else for that matter...So until we know for sure, there's really no point in trying to come up with a meet-up place.
Regarding the cell phones, vibrate/text-messaging works more than fine. Also, if you go up into the stands, you can hear the person pretty well, as long as they're not next to speakers.
As for pre-Celebration meet-ups, I really don't care where it is as long as it's not too far. I think I had proposed Peel Pub which is pretty close and I know Sean Walsh had proposed to do it at his house. |
