Back in the 1950s we had developed high speed fighter planes to protect our country ( ie the Avro arrow) and we scapped it because of the Yanks.
This is not so much about common continental security but rather deferring some of the costs.
the missle shield. The Bomark missles in the 1950s failed anyways so whats the diff.
I would rather see billions of dollars be used for fancy wall paper in the queens private sex room then be used in this project. |

the arrow sadly never made it out of the primary development stages due to political pressure from the US etc...
At the end of the day the Arrow would of been a good idea. The Bomark missles that replaced didint work.
Why give the Yanks a second chance at wasting our money

wat if all those mother suckers are lieing. Does it make sence to tell the whole world that our means of stopping a nuclear attack doesnt work? Even saying it doesn't work in bad weather?? That I think is encouragement for other nuclear to try and attack us so we can nuke the world.

The great nuclear powers (Russia, etc.) are still being checked by M.A.D.
The issue is whether we can trust these guys:
Iran is probably only a regional issue in the short term, but the other two are crazy enough to trump M.A.D. |

Actually it was WAY ahead of its time and if it was still around today it would still outperform "some" jets today and a benchmark of jet fighter design....AND....There would have been no NASA if it weren't for alot of Canadian engineers going to the U.S. after the Arrow was scrapped... |
