I use 3xosc, Albino, Pro-53, Discovery, V-Station mostly.

i just tried out adventus. holy . and this thing is synthedit?! the gui is a bit scrappy although vanguard set the standard for guis (^_____^)

i found the rotaries and sliders a bit fiddly. i couldnt turn them very smoothly with the mouse and it just made it fiddly to automate. the envelopes are nice but again the sliders are too small - a little change produces a very noticeable and dramatic effect.

the sound is pretty forward. right at the front actually. it overpowered zeta in some places. CPU load is on par with zeta. i.e. pretty big CPU hit with just 1 instance. very suitable for hard crunchy, detuned leads (this is amazing for hard trance and hard house) and also evolving type pads, leads and analogue FX.

Yeah this thing can make the best pads ive ever heard, imo better pads than zeta and vanguard... Besides that it pretty good, but not as good as zeta and vanguard.

i reckon, with an update or 2 and a shiny new gui, a little bit more polish allround, adventus is definitely in competition with the big league virtual analogue VSTis. i made some hard house hoovers just now + glide. they are *HUGE*

it's good for leads and especially good for basses, it's all in the programming, no need to dismiss somebody else's view because they have been able to use it
