My first acutally gig type deal. Problem is, its not to just regular music listeners. Its the Local DJ's here in Town. We decided to throw down 45 mins set each. Now im really nervous because their decent dj's. And since they have trained ears they notice small ups. I rather be djing tonight for 300 people that wont notice the small ups. |

If they know what they're doing, and they know it's your first gig, they'll probably cut you some slack. I bet they all remember their first. Just chill out and play some good music. |

When i spun w/ way more experienced djs the first time i freaked out at first, but soon after i started feeling it, things went fine and i met a few dj friends. Don't let it freak you out too much, we've all been in the same boat one time or another in life. Just be cool with em, dont act like a know-it-all like i did, and a few may give you pointers and help you out. |

Just chill man, and have a good time, we ALL have to have a first time if we plan to play to a crowd, and if they know its your first, there not gonna knock you for maybe having a drifted beat now and then.
Best advice is to have fun. |

That happened to me. I trainwrecked my first track ugly because I had the wrong track in the headphones. Then I found the switch and it went well from there. I was very nervous though. I still get nervous. I played with the same guys today and totally misfired about 30-40% of my crab scratches although nobody noticed but me. |

45 minutes? don't be nervous
just find like 5 or 6 records that work well together, make sure they're bangin, and you'll be fine, don't worry!:) |

and to make yourself have fun, dance around a little bit. Don't worry about the crowd. Don't even look at them until you get some response, which then give a little smile to confirm it and thank them for it. You'll feel comfortable in no time :) |

Just have fun, and you'll be alright.
Don't act like you know it all, say 'hi', and smile.
Good luck. Let us know how it went, ok? |

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
To be honest the working DJs are not really the ones who will give you the hardest time for what you do. It's always the bedroom DJs in the crowd who are the worst because they don't know what the real deal is like.
Just be cool with the other DJs as they are the ones with contacts etc. I don't mean brown nose just be natural.
Enjoy it too as it's what it's really about.
Cheers
