But in a socialist nation you would have to wait 2 years to get it removed, because the bureaucracy. Also socialism cripples economic growth due to heavy taxiation. Go privatized health care! Less taxes means more money in the economy. More money in the prvate sector means more economic growth. Economic growth means more jobs and also more tax revenues for the government. The more employed, the larger the tax base.

get whatever's in your ass out and quit being so serious. capitalism is what makes the world tick. as for you south americans. communism is the reason south america is such a sh1thole right now. all them marxist rebels, and currupt governments. i went to peru earlier this year and i found out a lot a crap, like, if u commit a crime, even if its murder, 50,000 dollars to the judge will get you acquited. 10 bucks will get u off the hook for a traffic ticket. the immigration department and the teachers went on strike for a month, so i was stuck there for 3 more weeks past my 1 week planned.
u need to chill out |

TranceVanDyk the reason why South America is a hole, as you put it, is due to the inequality of wealth distribution in the world. It has absolutely nothing to do with "communism", which I have no idea where you got that. Even though some countries have leftist presidents, as it is the case in Brazil, they are far form being communist countries. The fact that the wealth in this world is so unevenly distributed makes it impossible for societies and governments to work correctly as other countries in more developed areas. The trend of corruption and impunity has been growing in those countries but have started many decades ago due to the simple fact that, they are poor countries. The more developed countries are actually to blame as well for the underdevelopment of these countries due to their protectionist laws that prevent developing countries to expand their production and sales of different goods to many areas of the world. This is just one of the issues as there are many other that contribute to the fact which not only the more developed countries but also the developing countries are to blame. I give one example that I think illustrates well what I mean. Brazil has model of AIDS prevention and treatment program that is copied by many developed countries where drugs are distributed to many infected people for free as well as campaigns to prevent it from spreading even worse than it is. Now the United States recently just tried to make it much more expensive for Brazil to purchase one of the drugs necessary for such treatment. Luckily there is law in Brazil that in those cases allows them to produce a patent drug. Brazil will then produce the drug in house and be able to continue its program. Now, don't take me wrong. I am not trying to talk Brazil up (as you probably noticed that is where I am from) as few things work as they should and corruption is very high. I am just trying to illustrate that is not as simple as saying that the problem is with this or that person or this or that government and yet with the whole system of how the world economy works.
My opinion is that the real reason behind the problems in South America and all over the world is greed. Man wants more money and more power no matter how much they have and will do everything they can to get it.
Now as far as the original post about war. No offense but who cares. What are wars for? So some can get even richer at the cost of peoples lives that are brainwashed to either fight for their country or believe that their race or religion is the one accepted in this world.
Maybe music can start a revolution, one that would bring all people and all races and religions together. Maybe Tiesto or Paul Van Dyk could head that movement. Hehe!! |

Next time you talk about socialism make sure you know what the your talking about. The only form of capital in a Socialist society is through goods and services, NOT money. And health in controlled by the people, and only by the people. Having privatization in a Socialist society is a direct contridiction to it's very doctrine. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for health privatization to exist in a Socialist society, for then it would no longer be one, it would be called...Capitalism. |

There is your response 'TranceVanDyk'. If you want to gain some REAL insight on world matters (economically/politically) read 'The Green Book' written by Muammar al-Qaddafi. It explains there the problems we ALL experience in this world, and as 'fmaretti' said, it is our current world situation why South America is in a ' hole'.
Just remember, the world does not have the resources to sustain the American way of living. So for every extra loaf of bread you have, every extra car you drive, every single item you have that is beyound the essential quantity of living on this earth you deprive somebody else in this world. And thus, your answer as to why South America is 'the hole' you claim it to be.

It was originally and it wasn't the correct grammar.
I normally don't care about grammar, however if your goal is to insult someone, at least read over your snappy insult first before pushing the submit reply button. |

That was the point. Capitalism is good. With privitized health care, people can see a doctor right away and have surgery in a short period of time. In socialized medicine, people who are healthy and contribute to society are given priority over others. There are waiting lists for surgery and treatment. Privitized health care also produces competition. In a competive market, people produce and develop better drugs, treatments, etc where a state-run health care does not provide that.
I was using the health care example of "socialized" nations such as Canada and Great Britian.
And yes I do have a ing clue about the world and the current practice we call socialism. |
