The other day i was checking the nationalities of all popular trance producers, and i was surprised with the amount of American producers. Is this a new trend or something? One year ago there were none! It began with Filo & Peri, then came Markus Schulz, then G&D and now there are countless... Its really strange! The latest addition is EnMass, these guys are big and will become huge... I must say that the amount of good Canadian producers is groing too.
So am i right, if yes, how come? Or am i exagerrating, or isnt this a thing from the last year but has it always been this way???
What surprises me even more, is the fact that these changes occur, while trance is very small is the us.
PS i am aware of the fact Markus Schulz is German of origin |

| There was a hard-edged, acid-tinged type of progressive trance that grew up in the southwest US in the mid-nineties, with Los Angeles as the epicenter. Artists involved there were Christopher Lawrence, Taylor, Sandra Collins, Deepsky, etc. Most of them have since merged with the larger progressive movement, save Lawrence. |

| Yeah you have those. Plus Jolen Essex. And don't forget Joshua Ryan. Adam Starr is also of note. Christopher Lawrence as well. Go ahead and add Kimball Collins, DJ Micro, Mars & Mystre, Max Graham, Delerium, Prizm & Eclipse, and Deepsky. While you're at it you may as well write down Sandra Collins, Rabbit in the Moon, Hibernate, Thomas Michael, Jimmy Van M, Danny Howells, Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia, Astral Matrix, Electric Skychurch, D:Fuse, Taylor, and George Acosta... |

what would you call chirs lawrence if not trance?
American electronic musicians are nothing new I dont think, its jsut that they never get as much respect or attention as people from countries where EDM is more appreciated. |
