CD Reviews of: Scott Bond - Ahead vs. Nu Nrg - Frefall

This is probably completely the wrong thread to post this in, but I have done a search and haven't found anything Scott's album.
Just wanted to know what you all thought of them in terms of a progressive/uplifiting album. Which one is best?
I can only get one because I'm down to the last of my student pennies..... :sadgreen: :nervous: |

| Go for ahead. Its worth all your pennies. Best album this year imo. Contains the best tracks and is mixed very very good ! |

for crying out loud! how can you possibly compare a mixed cd compilation with an artist album !?
will you people stop asking such ridiculous questions :p
freefall is an artist album.. so it's all nu nrg tracks so if you are familiar with their music i'm sure you can guess what the album will kind of sound like. ahead is a mixed cd compilation, 2 cds filled with trance tracks... you can't compare these two, it really is a matter of taste. How about look up these cds on an online cd shop and listen to samples if possible? :clown: |

Scott Bond - Ahead all the way!
the only thing I sometimes like of Nu-NRG are their remixes (Basic Dawn, G&M Project, Three Drives etc.) but their own tracks usely suck big time! Not all of them, but in proportions Scott Bond's album has a lot more to offer ;) |

CD1 of Ahead is amazing, ruined only by the inclusion of Stephan J Kroos: 'Phantasmz' and the Carl Cox remix of Cohen vs Deluxe: 'Just Kick'. Other than those two dogs, it's an amazing mix and beautifully engineered.
CD2 of Ahead is less good although still 90% better than most other trance compilations around at the moment.
Haven't heard 'Freefall' so can't comment. It's Nu-NRG's artist album so if you like Nu-NRG, buy it, and if you don't... well, don't. ;) |

How can you not like Nu-NRG????????? (ok I overdid it with the questionmarks)
I have such a weak spot for Nu-NRG... I know I shouldn't like it so much, I almost feel ashamed, but I can't help it, their music makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :nervous: |

Thanks so far guys.
I've only heard Freefall, and have been deseperately seeking reviews of Ahead.
I'm not sure it matters that I'm comparing artists own work, with a mixed album. I just wanted your thoughts on it. Thanks to everyone who's posted so far.:) |

I just don't like their own productions, ... but then I think some of their remixes are pretty good, much power! |
