What happened in the Bernabeu was blown out of proportion. I remember loads of Sunderland fans making monkey noises at their own black player a couple of season ago, it never made the press.
However, if this had been England fans making the noise the punishment would have been harsher. UEFA are inconsistent and always have been. |
