Nothing is in it.
You walk 5 miles.. you can't tell how fast you went.. you can't tell how much time went by..
without external objects you can't have time |
Course you can. No one said you had to be aware of it for it to exist. |

No, it's because it's not a damn cube!!
That's just like watching a cube rotate around it's axis and then saying "the square is a moving square unlike 2-D". :stongue: | hes in highschool, leave him alone :haha: |

do you use it to measure atomical distances? |

Superstring theories hurt my head. :(
That 11-dimensional theory is M-Theory, is it not? :conf: |
Superstring initally was defined as 10 dimensions, then M-Theory came about which is indeed 11.

my idea of time is movement. the earth spins, therefore there is time according to the movement of the earth. if the earth didnt move, there would be no day or night, no time. just like in the nucleus of a black hole. its so compact, nothing can move, therefore time doesnt exist inside one.
|
Sorry buddy, if the earth stopped rotating time would still exist. And there is no nucleus to a black hole, but it is theorized there is no conception of time past the event horizon. |

Besides, something cant stop moving. For two reasons.
1) It still has quantum zeropoint energy.
2) Uncertainty principle would be violated. You would know its position exactly, so could know nothing about its momentum. |

If you're standing in a fixed spot, and you look at a train passing and two people on it are standing by the windows and playing ping pong, does the ball travel faster when you're looking at it, or does the ball travel slower to the people playing ping pong....
Time perception. Read "a brief history of time" stephen hawking. |

If God did, and he's infinite, why can't we wrap our heads around infitinty? Because we have a beginning and an end. We can't undersatnd the idea of forever (we make it up to feel better about dying). |

Time isn't necessarily the 4th dimension, or a dimension at all.
A professor talked about it a bit in class one day, but I wasn't paying attention (as usual). I think it has to do with imaginary numbers and fractals, but that could be from another boring lecture. |

it is an accurate description of what would happen if a person got trapped in the 4th dimension.;) |

Bah humbug! That you are unable to measure time has nothing to do with weather or not it exists or occurs. Try sitting in a black room without light and see how long it takes before you die from starvation if you don't believe me. |
