well i dont understand how the RIAA would shut down djmixes2k, considering all the music on there is sanctioned by the djs.

as for the whole ban everything...this isnt about banning something, its about inforcing a law which is already in place(in another country!) the RIAA has no say in Canada, so i dont really see how it applies. I understand that they have a Canadian branch, and until they start shuting down canadian operated sites, Jay your points do not match up.

i understand what you are trying to say, but the fact is these are two different governments, and the last i knew our gov said you to the record industry, and protected its citizens. The RIAA is going after the ISP's themselves, with the threat of legal action, so the ISP gets scared and cuts off the operators of the torrent sites.

there is no actual government intervention here.

if you wanna cry about some kind of 'big brother' lurking in the shadows, fine, but we cannot see any direct involvement.

Its not just the government that is in the business of banning stuff. Banning is banning so my arguements DO add up.

the question still remains, how does banning apply to this context?

nothing has been banned.
Crazy Serb
BAN THEM ALL!!!!

P.S. - I totally support free trading of software, movies, music, etc. Why? Because it means not everyone is stupid enough to shell out $15 to go see a movie, $900 for a copy of an imaging software (Photoshop) or $25 for an album that has only one good song on it. Long live "try before you buy... if at all"!!!

i never feel sorry for stealing music ,
lately im downloading edm anyways, and if i like it, i'll go see em live where a larger % of my money makes it to the producer anyways, instead of staying at home with no money while a record label gets rich and the artist gets a smaller percentage..... party it up and download everything i can get my hands on.
