^^ yeah i agree with those. Im all for support, but i say let the artists tour more because thats where they can realy make the money.
thats why there was a backlash in EDM, and sales dropped. DJs were just putting out expensive album after expensive album(expensive because of the low number produced), and just collecting money that way, instead of touring.
but i think in the last couple of years DJ have realized that touring is where its at, put out singles/abums to SUPPORT your tour, not the other way around as it seem to be for POP music.
I like mix albums which are a representation of what you will hear when you go see a DJ, just a nice clean version.
honestly i still buy CDs, and thats because of the sound quality. I cant stand listening to ty MP3's anymore!!! I need full quality CD's, and when SACD's start coming out, i will buy those too. But EDM cd prices have to come down, its crazy how much they cost |
