Actually, one more thing.
Explain how Markus Schulz is progressive, or piss the off and stop saying I'm clueless because you're too dumb to realise what the hell you're implying here. |
why dont you first tell us why j00f plays "crap" psytrance "just because it's unknown"? i'm glad you stay in your progressive world, because in most other genres you don't have a clue. :stongue:
and no, before you ask, im not a fan of markus |

| They just seem pretty random, that's all. I mean, come on, it's not even hard to find goa/psy tracks. They're all over the place. |

I've given up on Schulz. Every time I listen to one of his GDJB sets, I go "boooring". I skip ahead 20 minutes into the set, and it seems like the same track is playing. |
go listen to your britney spears and jarule crap then....if you dont like what he plays then change your style |

get out of your 2 by 2 oakenfold digweed box
the closest genre to describe markus schulz would be
Progressive trance
the term progressive. It maybe fairly formulaic.. but then again everything is.. its called structure.
you can also use something called an adjective to describe the genre.. perhaps more progressive.. is what you are inclined towards.
to contribute
aly and fila - spirit of ka (Schulz mix)
airwave - ladyblue (schulz mix) |

stop playing dumb
ok this is from dictionary.com
| quote: | | Proceeding in steps; continuing steadily by increments: progressive change |
so basically its a term used to describe the music it doesnt have to be exact.. its just a description
so markus is style is more gradual and progressing.. then i guess umm someone like ferry corsten who goes from synth to synth back and forth etc
so progressive just means the music is gradually incrementing and changing.. more gradual as upposed to not being gradual
so progressive trance.. is melodic and building gradualy as opposed to trance in general
and it has nothing to do with whether it uses supersaws or not ory

i think we all need to grow up abit here. this argument has basically escliated from mainly immaturity from certain people.
without ripping apart each of these words and disecting it with a magnifiying glass, id personally say schulz is generally melodic progressive.
most his stuff has a melody, you cannot denie this. it is also closer to progressive, than trance. schulz is closer to sasha, than he is to ferry corsten. mainly due to most his tunes are calmer and slower, closer to sasha, than full on trance like ferry.
now we could be kids and rip into all that but i think we should all be grown up enough not to. |
