hmmm skill wise i rather say its Diggers, i mean dis guy know true progressive beats just as Nick Warren, Diggers Bedrock CD is sick, his sets from Kiss Fm, r interesting 2 listen, coz its always something new, house, proggie u know :) Diggers always puts on these sick remixes, so 4 me skills wise is Diggers. As 4 Sasha, Sasha has better cd's den him though, i luv his GU series :) can't say 2 much about his lastest production, coz i didn't hear nething yet :p hoping 2 get some tracks next weekend :)
4 me their r a lot amazing progressive dj's such as Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren(da best:)),Sander Kleinerberg(rising new progressive talent:)), Lee Buuridge(underrated dj),Anthony Pappa, Dj Irish and Nyman(has ne1 of da prog headz heard of dem, or im alone here), just some 2 mention, no matter wat they will always be on top of everyone :)
oki so dis time im voting 4 Diggers :D |

Ah, the neverending question, Sasha or Digweed? I have seen both Sasha and Digweed. Sasha is the winner. Let me explain:
Digweed's mixing style is predictable, stage presence is boring. His track selection is pretty much the same throughout, the usual Bedrock sound. I saw him spin a three hour set and was not impressed. Don't get me wrong. Bedrock stuff is great, but not for three hours. He hardly aknowledged the crowd.
Sasha, on the other hand, is a flawless mixer. I saw him spin a six hour set. His stage presence was a little cold,i.e.left for the bathroom a couple times, smoked while spinning. But his track selection is superb. He really takes you on a journey from deep to dark to progressive to melodic and finally uplifting.
In the end, what I really base my decision on are the GU cd's. Sasha in Ibiza is the best mix cd ever. It is so complex, so many layers. I can listen to it forever and still discover things I never noticed. Sasha in San Franscisco is not far behind. Digweed in Sydney is better than Hong Kong or Los Angeles, but again suffers from the same Digweed touch of death. Hope some of you see what I mean. These are just my thoughts. |
