| i talked to my gf about getting breast implants.. she's thinking about it because she already has a kid (its not mine) and you know what happens after women have kids .. so im not pushing it on her.. but it could be a good idea |

i cant be bothered to read the whole goddamn thread but i would never ask my gf to get breast implants or any kind of cosmetic surgery for that matter....even if she wanted them i would strongly disagree with her and try to change her mind
besides, natural breasts are waaaaaaaaay sexier and better looking imo |

Having personally been through two plastic surgeries (Rhinoplasty). Which were both failures in my eyes, I wouldn't recommend it unless you feel it's absolutely necessary.
I've now learnt that you just need to accept what your given & make the most of it, If your unhappy before the surgery, having to deal with a poor result is very difficult after. It's better to have small then disfigured IMO, or having a big nose then a disfigured nose etc..
Being only 19 I didn't understand this & just took the risk with the false hope of "it won't happen to me" in the back of my mind. Big mistake. I was left with a horrible nose, I couldn't bare look in the mirror, I was mortified. Even the plastic surgeon agreed it was a poor result, but did not accept responsibility as it was a difficult job with risk involved. He said could have another surgery at a later stage to try & "improve" the abortion at hand. It would be performed for free in a public hospital. Only downside being I'd be put on a waiting list.
2 years of depression & anxiety later (to cut a long story short), I get a call. We're ready to take you in for surgery. So of I go with the same false hope "It will be all good this time". Not the case, still not happy with it, but it's alot better, not quite disfigured but still large for my face. But at this stage just decide to accept it & get over it.
Dealing with peoples reactions is the hardest part, being a nose, which sits in the middle of your face, it's not something you can hide. A pair of can be hidden under clothing obviously.
I'm still constantly teased about it. But have learned to brush it off somewhat, still hurts. Generally the people who tease me are really miserable inside & it makes them feel better about themselves for about 5 minutes. Sometimes when I'm drunk I forget this & throw the odd swing.
So, having been through this nightmare I'd say don't push your GF into plastic surgery. Use the money you would have wasted to take her on a nice holiday instead. |
