What DJs do you really, really want to see live in Two Thousand-Five?
In honor of Dave's "tracks 2die4" & cause it's the new year, what DJs would you road trip (drive 2+ hours) for? I'd drive to Houston or Dallas to see:
UNKLE (I love GU Romania)
James Holden (Balance 005 has been in heavy rotation...I don't care that he uses a computer)
Freeland (Seen him twice in 2004...SO GOOD. Rockers to Ravers--everyone likes his live shows)
Armin van Buuren
Felix Da Housecat (endless pleasure in the limosine)
R-Man (His sets on XTC Radio are great)
My all time pick, who've I wanted to see for 9 years--if they came ANYWHERE in the states I think I'd go--
Future Sound of London.
They were scheduled for Coachella in '04, but cancelled. |

I've seen it all |
I'm sorry that you have nothing music-wise to look forward to. How old are you to have seen it all?
Samuel Johnson (1709-1784), poet:
"When a man is tired of London he is tired of life;
for there is in London all that life can afford. "
Substitute Music for London for me!

now that I think about it, I want to see Danny Howells |
My dirty secret (amongst others). I was at Coachella in May, which is a big concert with 5 stages in Palm Springs, with shows from noon to midnight. You need a program to keep straight who's playing when/where.
My friend & I get in around 2 pm, & we're wandering around, looking for a program. We walk by a tent, & the music is good, but I say to J--"this DJ is SO derivative, he's just ripping off sets I hear on Internet radio ALL the time".
We finally find a program, & the guy who was playing WAS Danny Howells...who I listen to on www.trancesphere.com . So I saw Danny Howells live for about 10 minutes.

LOL. If you really believed that, you don't know me too well : ) |
I'll get Dave's back on this. He drove 2 hours each way to Austin to support Travis & Matthias, then LEFT rather than hear George's set.
I thought George Acosta's set was good--I stayed!
I've been liking James Lauer's sets--I'd drive to San Antonio (90 minutes) to see him. :clown: |

I would have to agree, he did way better than I had originally expected. The only thing I can dock him on was having the volume in the solid reds tho whole time. |
