A question about "Join Me"

"Join Me" is a very famous song, one of the best trance tunes to emerge from Europe, and recently (in 2001) it was released in Germany as:
Lightforce - Join Me
But, it seems that the song had already existed before as:
Anastasia - Join Me
Vectrex remix, etc. I've heard that the song was written in Scandinavia...
Can someone clarify the history? |

Dunno about you, but my vinyl says Lightforce - Join Me. So I'm gonna believe my circular piece of plastic...
I'm gonna have a little look into this though - should be interesting.:D |

| If I can remember the only bit of info I know on the track apart from it being a wicked track, it was realeased on Slinkys label in the UK as Lightforce - Join me |

| Anastasia to my knowledge is a project involving Matt Darey I'll look into it but I'm sure its one of his projects I might be wrong cos he might of remixed an Anastasia track. but I remember he done something with the track Anastasia - sweetness of you, being very bored a few weeks ago I looked at a cd sleave and saw his name by that track, its something like that, might be a link there for you. |

btw Lightforce - Join Me doesn't do justice to the original (Anastasia - Join Me). The original is simply WICKED! It's got these cascades (like arpeggios) that build and build in intensity, whereas Lightforce's remake is pretty average. |

Lightforce was 1st to remake this track, then came Anastasia and last came Driver Project. The original track was written by a finnish rock band HIM's (his infernal majesty) vocalist Ville Valo.
Anastasia is Martin Eyerer, Oliver Laib (yes, Laib not Lieb!) and co. Matt Darey did a some co-operation with these guys in sweetness.
Lightforce DJ Team is also known as Scoopex and co-producers of Mario Lopez. |
