REVIEW: Boa marathon....part 1, 2 and 3.

| Yes, we are all waiting around and resting up for the rest of the party. Demi was soo good. And he teased us with some Chus and Ceballos for later. Very nice. And no, the place was not too packed and the smoking was kept under control but obviously for the amount of smokers in the downstairs lounge there is going to be a lot of carry over bad air. |

| I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed what Demi was playing, but after a long 10 hr drive back from DC with no dinner (and being totally sober), I had to sneak out for a quick bite. While at my table for one, I realized how badly I needed a nap. Thank heavens for Dallas & her comfy bed just at University & Dundas! Was about to head back at 9am, when I discovered most of the gang has left for some down time, and will return later in the day. I wanna catch some of Morales, so I will probably wait til lunch time to get back there. So far so good. Just a tip for those who are thinking of coming by: don't bother bringing a coat, or wear something u can tie around your waist. I hear its a very 'slow moving process'.... |

COAT CHECK IS FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We waited from 5:45am untill the time we actually got our coats, which was 9:05am!!!!! Yes we had to wait that in long. Why?? because instead of having the coats on the racks with numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4, the coats were on the racks with numbers everyone, so like 2, 47, 78, 5, and just ed up. So they pretty much had to search for what each persons coat looked like, and no we couldnt just book it and leave the coats, cause the car keys were in the coat! Then people start losing it and more times than one I thought a fight would break out with all the " THIS!" " THAT!" bull. Holy frig man, my legs are hurting, and i hope we dont have to go thur that again, cause the girls were honestly ready to just cry, and who could blame them.
Even when we first got there, checking the coat, that took about an hour. For the countdown in line for coat check, was NOT cool.
Thats my review cause thats all I can think about right now. Its 11:01am, and i just got home like 15minutes ago. Going to try to sleep. BOA, fix that PLEASE! :crazy: |

This problem seemed to start at the beginning of the night and kept getting worse.
I was having fun till about 4ish. The place became WAY too packed and WAY too hot. After some time so my bf and I decided to leave as we could just not keep cool enough and was tired of fighting through the crowd (like the guv on a really busy night but with no place to cool off properly). We must have started waiting in the coatcheck line at around 5 and didn't get to leave till 7. NOT GOOD!!!
What's worse is someone didn't understand how to actually set up a coat check. That's why they were losing tons of people's coats and giving them cards to call back the next day. This wasn't just for a few people. But instead of apologizing to everyone for their error...we were told phrases like "you guys need to chill the out".
IT WAS CHAOS, and worse they were VERY rude about the entire issue.

i wouldnt go to a club, that would waste so much time, and i knew NYE is going to be crazy, and i am sick so its a good thing i was sleeping and relaxing all night, while you fought the crowds downtown:happy2:
but bottom line you had fun, is all that matters if not i am sorry to hear that:o |

| I was going to try and hit up Boa after work today but I don't think it'll happen. Just exhausted (plus I'm working, so tired). Sorry Jeff,thanks for the info on it though man. |

Apologies to everybody affected by the coat check fiasco. Unfortunately two of our regular coat check people called in sick, and the substitutes really mucked it up....all we can do is apologise and hope the rest of the event lives up to expectations....sorry!

Well I was gonna mention the coat check fiasco but Playa24-7 summed it up so I won't repeat it:( .I left around 4ish and waited like 30 minutes for my coat so if I go back today then I'll proly leave my coat in my car.
Otherwise I had fun & saw my usual TAs & other friends.I found the overcrowding bearable & had no trouble getting around:) .Demi was dropping some wicked beats and Coleridge was awesome too when I showed up around 10:45pm.I will try & come by to hear Sean Millers set later but for now...I gotta eat:eyespop: |
