Oh I see. Thanks. :thepirate

ok heres my review:

i got there around 8:15 to a 1000+ person line, and i thought for sure i was going to miss tiesto's entrance. Luckily(debatable), Mason was still on and was playing some serious house. I was really enjoying myself and i must say his mixing was spot on. I went had a few drinks and found a spot that defiently sounded the best compared to other places.

Now the sound system for the most part was really good, depending on where you stood. Towards the back was really good but when i moved up front around 11 i could see why more than 1/2 of the people up there had their ear plugs already in. The lighting sucked, i didn't feel like i was in a club at all just a big event. I saw huge lights set up all over but i want to say only a quarter of them were in use. The smoke machines were used sparingly not doing much. What i did like is although the place was PACKED... it didn't get hot in there, nothing like avalon or godskitchen. I was semi-warm all night.

ok, now 10 hits and Tiesto comes on. He started w/ what i thought was Invisible Inc - Stars(ambient mix) but listening to it now i'm going back on myself. It was defiently a 2min ambient track that he started with and I'll remember it, just give me a few. He came on played some cool prog house but fail'd in my opinion after mason had some wicked basslines, tijs went for melodic prog house so everyone wasn't dancing as much. He dropped Kyau vs Albert - Made of Sun(KvA Hard Dub) and people went nuts and this was around 11:40.

Ok then the worst band in the history of NYE countdowns took stage. BTW did anyone else recognize that lead singer i've seen her movies before i swear. Everyone was plugging there ears and a few guys were flipping her off, she responded with a "ok guys i know you aren't hear for us only 2 more and then you can go back to dancing". I thought that was a lot better than what i thought she was going to say lol. They were terrible and i hated everyone minute of it. I just stood around watching the asian Mom & Pops sway.

Ok, 12:05 we were all chearing to get tiesto back on stage! The man comes out and drops Push - Unverisal Nation, i saw a few TA's hands go up in the air because they knew it right when he put it on. He played some awesome tracks like Ridgewalkers - Find (Andy Moor Mix), Nyana(remix), Tijs remix of Madonna - Die Another Day, Smack my bitch up, Traffic, Lethal Industry, gouryella. Oh i dont even know what i'm typing all these, the tracklist will be up in a day or two said those Holland boys.

ok so i left at 2:30(i know i know), but i did. It was for good reason, i went to the house of blues w/ a bunch of people to go see matt darey. So my night was just starting and matt was late to come on. He got on around 3:30-4 and opened with this GORGEOUS breakbeat number that i have never heard. The place was packed! everyone was going nuts, it was so cool to see matt in such a small venue i had an amazing time. the sound system there was 10x that of tiesto and everything just sounded so clear(minus a few mids). He knew he had to go big or go home and man did he go big.

See now this is what i dont' understand about tiesto, its NYE... go HUGE right? Your biggest, most profitable gig. I thought we'd hear some tracks from 2004 that everyone just loved and he'd just recap our year becuase thats the best part about bringing in the new year is the recap of remember all the good times. He didn't though, he played it like a normal gig(i thought). Does anyone remember the first track tiesto played w/ mason on violin it was gorgeous! So much for that dutch singer we were suppose to hear right?

well i didn't get home until 11am and i was sober all night so beat that!

highlights of matt darey's set:
binary finary!
Song to the siren(some insane new remix)
Gamemaster(2005) - amazing on a big system
dogzilla - your eyes
randy katana - fancy fair
silence (above & beyond remix)
Zombie0729

A special thanks to you also Evan; it was a lot of fun!!!!:happy2:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! TIESTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

What an awesome night and what a party!!!
My head is still spinning! :tongue3

Had fun with you all TA's and good to meet some new ones.
I actually enjoyed Dj Mason's set! He is so talented with the violin. A good warm up. Too bad Tiesto came on late!

Tiesto's second set was amazing; he kept surprising us with each track; I kept looking over at Evan who kept smiling and we couldn't stop dancing. Just when I thought I couldn't dance and move any more, Tiesto kept us going!! WOW!!!! :gsmile:
I wanted to stay up in the front, but I had to leave Michelle, John, Richard and Jesse up in the front; it got so outta control and no room to dance. There was room to dance in the back; it was so crazy back there!! So many crazy people running around, very chaotic, but still a lot of fun!

and WTF was up with Juliet Lewis' "alternative" band at countdown. A very sloppy countdown! The band was pathetic, ughhhhhh :whip:

Had a great time! What a way to end 2004, and bring in 2005!:D :D

The best part of the night is when he played Flight 643. The Palladium went nuts!!!! What a great way to kick off a new year!

. Did you go to see Matt Darey, I bad I not see you I could say Hi. Anyway do you like Matt Darey, I like him a lot, but I feel bad for him he play in the wrong crowd, Club Crasher crowd (Hard house), to bad the crowd not really don't understand what he played, only me and Woody in the dance floor rising hand in the air for him.
Zombie0729
Leon, ya i know! i saw woody's pictures and couldn't believe i didnt' see either of you guys there. I was there from like 3-7:30. I agree, the first DJ on there was like out of a movie. Headphones on w/ a microphone attached i was like what in the hell? doing all these weird voice overs.

i really enjoyed matt darey, i want to say almost more than tiesto. I do think the crowd, for the most part liked matt's set more than the other hard house guy because no one was able to dance to that really hard & fast stuff.

Matt had really good crowd control, and all of us were talkin about how much we enjoyed the smaller venue w/ such a great DJ. Was a very different experience from tiesto and we loved it.

DjWoody
That first DJ is either DTJ or Steve Castro... Go to this link and look at the video, you'll see him there.

After looking over my sites, i notice the "LIVE" from the pallidum set is actually this: "Dj_Tiesto-Dance_Department_(538)-SAT-25-12-2004" I know anthony said it was recent so and it was the only one that tiesto released. DID they really say it was being broadcast live from the palldium?
