WOW!!
I am still asorbing the fact that I got a 9 Hours of Tiesto for NYE And NYD!! Let me tell you this has been the best weekend of my life! I have always wanted to see Tiesto for New Years eve and my Dream finaly came True!!! (YAY YAY YAY!!!)
I got to the Palldium at 7ish.. And there was all ready a line at will call! THANK GOD I got my ticket early! I was ass cold!! Finally at 7:45 they start makeing the lines. 2 for the girls and 3 for the boys. Well at 8 some old dude comes on to make an annoucement telling us we Could not get in unless we had a pink and white little ticket. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :mad: :mad: WTF! No one had that pink ticket we all had our Groovetickt tickets. So a mass of people went back to the will call window to get that ticket. Only to find out there where people at the stat of the line to exchange them there. :mad: WTF so it was back to the line we had to go. Of Chorse I get in a "boys" line since at the time it was shorter and I knew the girl exchanging the tickets. After I got my ticket I steped over the chain to get to the girls line and I was right in the door. Soon to Follow was Michelle, John,Evan and my best friend Richard :D
When we got in it was time for a quick potty break since I knew once it got packed there would be no way! The line would be way too long. Then on to the Dance floor. Now I really like the Paladium. Huge main dance floor and the The Dj Booth was right there. Not up high too where you could not see him. So I found the best spot! Right up front in the center. :D The Sound system was also not that bad. Ya it was a little loud at the start but they went away as people started comming in.
DJ Masion was on the decks first. I have to say he is by far one of the better Openers for Tiesto I have seen! He had a very nice progessive trace set going. And when he got on the Violin to actully play the melody! that was dope! :) But when 9 o' clock came around.. there was no sight of Tiesto.. anywhere :( 9:30 comes and goes still no tiesto. I hate playing the waiting game and so did the all most 4000 people there. We all wanted Tiesto and was wondering why he was not on yet. When Masion was done a small drum core group came on.. I don't know why but I think it was to give that "in concert" feel to the party. Ehhhh that did not work to well.
Finally at 10 Tiesto Comes on!! The place went muts!! Tiesto started pretty progressive. Then keep buliding from that. WOW!!! Every was so beautiful! :) I could not stop smileing I was my own little (sober) world. I even though Tieso looked at me a few times. hehe ;)
Anyways Tiesto Plays for all most 2 hours. I think it was around 11:50 that Juliet Lewis and The Licks Came on! That ruined the Vibe!! Fist off who ever thought too put Rock band in the middle of Tiesto Set was smoken some bad CRACK!! And who ever told Juliet Lewis that she can sing is smoken somethin bad too. I am sorry Juliet do no quit your day job! Her Band recked recked the vibe! People where yelling at her to get off the stage and throw stuff at her! It was odvious we where not there to see her and we wanted Tiesto to come back on. The Count down was also a little lame! I am sorry for an event that size I would expect that there would more Bang. Nope just fire work vissuals a bright venue and a little yellow confittie is all we got. Oh well the Hugs toltay made up for it! :)
Finally Tiesto comes back on! YAY! OMG the second half of his set was amazing. This is where I heard.. Adagio For Strings, Just Be (Antillas Club Mix), Nyana (Mark Norman Remix) ( did anyone notice the cheeta visuls in the backgrond:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: For thouse of you who don't know. Nyana was a Cheeta Tiesto saw in Africa ;)) Olympic Flame, Gouryella, Flight 643, Lethal Industry (Tiesto 2004 Edit) w/ DJ Mason on Violin (That was awsome btw!) Love Comes Again with the flighing heart vissuals, Loops & Tings Relooped (Marco V Mix)(WHOOOO HOOOO)Traffic and Silence (DJ Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise Remix) His last Track! OMG!!! Now This was the time some Cracked out MOFO came too the front and started acking like a fool! Pushing and shoving everone on in his way. Total vibe killer imo. No matter what the "guys" said around him he would not stop. I also tried talking to him and still he was being stupid! So I get the boncers attention and he told him to stop! He did! Thank god. Then this Cracked out mofo came by blowing on his stpid whistal! I was about to take that thing away from him!!
It was was dring his second hour that Tiesto started thowing out singed Vinals and a slip Mat. He also got on stage and started handing them out. Did I get one.. No! Did I get my stuff singed no. :( Not only was the night over and I did not want it to end.. but this night only comes once in a life time. I know I should not let something silly like that get to me... But it does. So It was back to the car and off to Vegas! hehe
Vegas Review:
My Friends and I get to Vegas in 3 hours:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: There was no traffic and my friend was flying down the hiway. We arrvie at his unkles place take shower and sleep! I slept untill 5:30 pm
We get something to eat at the hard rock cafe and they gamble and we head to ICE at 10. When we get there the place was empty so we walk around and go up to the top VIP area. Soon we where kicked out. :( My friend and I tryed using our wanttickets bages to stay since they allowed us up there before. But this time it was no good. The VIP tables where $1000 a POP!!!!:eyes: :eyes:
So back to the dance floor we went.
It was aound 11:30-12 when the palce got Packed! Uber packed! I ran in to my Friend Sean who used to work with "Spundae" over there and I say hi. Well he told me Tiesto just got there and wanted to know if I wanted to see him... UMMMM HELL YA!!! :eyes:
So he trys to get me up with him. Since I did not have a wrist band I could not go up. So Sean takes off and comes back with one. The one he got from his friend ;) hehe So I went up stairs and Tiesto was with all these people inside the curtins. Of chorse the 3 bouncers would not let me near Tiesto or let me try to tap him. I did once but that did not work. So I just stood there with Sean close by and waited. After like 10 minutes the boncer told me... "The only way you will get to see Tiesto is if you talk to someone who knows him" Great. So I my look I am a cute girl standing here act. Trying to make contact with one of the males in the tented area. Still no luck. Finally one guy asked me what I wanted. I told him I justed wanted to say Hi to Tiesto and get some stuff signed. So he gets Tiesto and TADA!!! WHOOOO HOOOOOO I got all my stuff signed. My posters, My picture from June and yes I got a picture!!!! I could have died right there! I was sooooo Freaken Happy I cried... hehe Oh with my boots on I was almost as tall as Tiesto. hehe :)
So I went back down stairs got my spot and of chrose I had to show off. ;) I just could not help myself. hehe ;) :tongue2
Tiesto Came on At 2am. He started out pretty progressive for the first 2 tracks and then went right beautiful high energy Trance! Tiesto Came by the side I was at to put a record on. I quicky said my name and Happy New Years! He said it back and asked any Requests?:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: Ok being the goober dork I am.. and the fact that Tiesto was talking to me... I said the first track that came to my mind.... Silence:nervous: hehe Don't shoot me k ;)

Since The place was uber packed it got HOT but when the ICE shot down it felt sooo Nice. It was also hard to move and there where some rude pushy girls. I had to head butt on girl to stop pushing and use my body to get a crack out guy away from me! All though the place was packed Tiesto sined shirts, hats, papers. CD's CD covers. He was really nice about it. He even shook peoples hands. :) I think he smiled at me a few times that night. hehe ;) :)Oh ya Tiesto knows my name now! Maaaa haaa aaa!!! Oh it was also Funny to see the people on the CLUB! Greg the invester was flirting with women half his age! I also saw Neil. Marc who blocked Tiesto on my side most of the time.. and I thought I saw Alison! :stongue:
Such a Great night!!!! I am sooo HAPPY right now :D
I was up untill past 9am waiting to see if an after hours would pan out. An after hours at a porn stars house with Tiesto and Oakenfold. Oakenfold was at Sevens the first palce we went too but I was told not to say anything to him. My Friend Sean Friend left us high and dry.. O well.. Next time:disbelief

i really enjoyed matt darey, i want to say almost more than tiesto.
Me too, I really enjoyed Matt Darrey, to bad not not a lot of people come for him, because GK not really promote for Matt, At the end of Tiesto show they did say come to After hour party at HOB but they did not say Matt Darey.
Anyway I did talk to Matt and he will come to Heaven soon. |
