hey guys..
i think everyone knows me already even though I dont post often :P
I'm the baali chuva who STILL loves trance..
anyways I know you guys can apprciate good trance, but everything jewish and 'dancey' is GARBAGE!!! I want to try to locate some people interested in working with me to turn some great jewish melodies into track of the year quality trance.
The goal is to throw big parties and play only locally produced stuff (like NU-NRG does often, they play basically all their tracks these days remixes or whatnot..) so I want to do this with Jewish music, all jewish music and all melodies. We have thousands upon thousands of melodies and samples to work with, so this can become an easy way to hit up an untouched market.
On Shabbat when your at the shabbat table singing some of the songs, It just forms in my head with a banging beat and some synth and i'm thinking WOW This is the BEST TRANCE EVER!!!!!!!!
I know this one guy who is not bad with the skills, but his musical skills need some help. Here is a sample of the track by Mordachai Ben David - Moshiach, remixed by Eli Mandlebaum..

it is the closest track of his i found that I liked.
So if any of you Jewish producers (i tried contacting Robert Gitelman, but he didnt even respond, I guess he is too 'cool' to be involved insomething connected to his religion...) think your down to try this out, then please let me know!

DUH?? no its not..
the idea is jewish melodies and such.. therefore he used those words so often.
Anyway.. middle eastren (and yes u can include jewish music in it) music is my thing .. it sounds so great on electronic music.

i'm DEFINETLY not talking about those melodies!! there are hundreds if not thousands of solid melodies never used. to the people that said its 'racist' thanks for the good laugh!!!!
a melody made by a jewish composer sung at jewish events is jewish! A JEWISH SONG IS JEWISH. its not racist!!!

a few people seemed interested so far... when I got my first samples ready to hear, i'll post em here, and people can tell me if their opinions based on their lack of respect for their own culture were true at all, or if they were blinded by their stupidities that all of jewish melodies are just 'hava nagela'

Trance is crap today compared to what it was in '99, too many cookie cutter tracks, and its causing the sweetness of the music to fade quickly...
all the new great tracks coming out, don't you ugys notice they are always remixes of older tracks? Or founded on sweet vocals? No new original melodies come out these days that are quality...
this is just the next step in the 'evolution of trance' people are going to look at the quality music that already exists, and begin to add 'trance elements' to it, thus bringing the blast from the past into a quality future...
those who have f33rs of their own cultures (which is sadly just jews) will be left without their own inspirational musical cultures to bring into the scene...
block out the great music we have from many generations, and replace it with your magical sounds that fade away into the weekly mass of releases..... ENJOY! |
