I was not able to make it because of the crappy weather however I would love to hear the review and see some pics if possible.
Hope everyone had fun and the ones who drove to chicago made it just fine over there !
Cheers
P.S Since groovetickets don't give refunds I wasted $125

Word of advice, don't do presales except for huge nights like PVD or Tiesto. They are the only ones that sell out ahead of time, at least so I have been told.

Ferry's set was very good, Jon O'Bir's one was as well. I did not take my camera so no pics from me this time.

Overall I liked ferry's set a lot. He did play a lot of tunes I expected, but some I did expect he did not play (thankfully he left the Young Parisians - Jump the Next Train in the bag. That song annoys the hell out of me). His remix of U2 - New Year's Day was pretty cool to hear. It was considerably better than his set @ ICE in vegas in Oct, but I think I enjoyed his set here in Sept better only because I was more into it/less tired (and he played Binary Finary then which is always a good thing hehe).

Nice seeing everyone out that came. Jon, Daz, and myself had the best 5 minute cab ride ever from the HOB to Vision I think. That cab driver was a piece of work lol.

Off to bed now.

sorry i didn't make the meet-up - lets just say that i was still recoverying from new years eve. and it sounds like i wasn't the only one ;)

nice to meet daz and jon - hope you enjoyed your stay in chicago and i hope that GK books you again in chicago!

didn't get to the club until 1:15 or so and only stayed for about an hour - ferry's set sounded good, but i was just too tired to hang tonight - it was definitely cool when the nitogren guns went off - that was WICKED!!!!! (Can you believe I've never seen them before at Vison?)

nice to also see nick, d&g girl, MrS and whoever else i saw in my limited time at the club :)

great set by Ferry, played some real nice stuff. It's been 8 hours since the concert and my ears are still ringing...

they destroyed that Godskitchen balloon that was hanging from the ceiling.

i got there around 11 and caught Jon's set. he played a lot of armin and markus tunes at first. then he just started rocking out some great stuff. the crowd seemed a little bit on the light side but thats probably because of the weather and being hungover.

ferry's set was pretty good. the first track that he played was amazing. does anyone know what it was? overall i had a great time.

What an awesome night! Jon and his friend Darren are very cool, I loved his set. Darren actually gave me a cd of Jon's which is really good.

Ferry's set was unbelievable. He played a lot of great tracks and loved New Year's Day, the place went nuts! He's a really nice guy and his wife Lia is adorable. We actually got to hang out with them and Jon at the hotel afterwards for a little while before Ferry & Lia had to leave to go to Colombia.

It was nice seeing JM, Marv, Mr. Squirrel, CT Princess. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did! :D

* Happy 21st Birthday Jon!

HEY NOW... I may live in Japan temporarily but I am still from WI...

wanted to put a more complete review up but I passed out last night when I got home...

Glad to see that those of you who made it down enjoyed yourselves. I was actually strongly debating driving down around 10:00 or 11:00 had the weather not been so bad. I don't think I was by any means sober at that point either, so that didn't help.

to Ferry playing NYD.

never made it down, unfortunately... partied just a little too hard on NYE so i've been sleeping for the last 2 days. not to mention, after steve called me at 7:30pm (right after i woke up), i realized how craptastic the weather was. then i was watching the news and saw that they doubled the tolls on 94. and i only have $40 to my name... all signs pointed to staying in last night.

i'm sure i missed a good time, but i've seen Ferry 4 times in the last year.

it's a shame that i didn't get to take out the signed PUNK tank top though!

btw, it was nice to see Vision pushing the envelope for staying open late.. last track finished at 4:48... getting better and better :)

Also was very nice to see some of Chicago's finest examples of midwestern chicas out last night :toothless

it was a good show. Jon O Bir did a good job too. he played ralphie B - massive , one of my fav tracks. I liked what ferry played for the 1st half. i couldint relate to the second. The track that i liked the most that ferry mixed was was the diamondback track. JOB never used the vinyl. I think ferry tried to experiment with 1 or 2 records, that it, rest was all cddj. maybe this was why i felt the highs where not so pronounced. anyone else did notice that? although i couldint relate to the latter part, i must say ferry was very versatile. not too many djs like that. in between all this, someone threw a couple of cds at me from the dj booth. at that point i didnt know who it was, but i could read on the cd "Robert Nickson Productions". so i gave a thumbs up to who ever it was. came back and checked the cd and its good!
need to upload the pics, i am a bit lazy rt now, do it in a day or so. also nice to meet some of the ta's. i think i met everthing0,jmc and MrS (squeak!).
