It was also musically better than PVD@Ikon. I'll post a full review after I wake up this afternoon |

the legend of sander kleinenberg grows...
i had more fun and did tons more dancing to sander than i did pvd. astro and glyde also ripped it up early on. sander started later than usual but his set was just class. sander and his brother are such goofballs. while sander was in the can, bro was toying around with the volume controls, but didn't really turn it down/up at the right moments, but it was cool to see that he was having fun. he acted as the MC too and it did help to get people going, not that we needed it.
i brought in a card for a whole bunch of us as TAs to sign, congratulating him and simone on the birth of his daughter bibi. i handed the card to some photographer dude who basically was blinding sander with his professional digital SLR camera. guy didn't seem to know who the addressee (sander kleinenberg) was, so he gave it to the guy who took care of the DVDJ, who gave it either to sander's brother or some other dude hanging out on the booth, who then gave it to sander. i couldn't really see much of what was going on, but it looked like sander opened it, read it and was genuinely happy to see a card full of so many messages and sigs. he acknowledged as such at the end of the night when he came down to talk to everyone. so yah, sander's a great dude to talk to. very pleasant and polite.
once again, great time seeing a lot of the same familiar faces. jdat, welcome, i'm sorry u have such a long trip back to cleveland. brian, good to see you this long weekend. zewad, nice to meet you and your sister... now i know the dude behind the squirrel with the big ball sacs. to my fellow tri-state area peeps, i will definitely see you guys at another event soon. pictures later today. |

| It was my first time seeing Sander K, for anyone who hasn't seen him yet i recomend you come out next time he's at Crobar. Sander tore it up last night. I wasn't really feeling it when i got into the club because i was exhausted from PVD, but the DJ before Sander really got things going and then when Sander took over he owned the place. Wasn't too packed so there was plenty of room to dance:D Good to see some TA'a there, me and my brother def had an awesome night. Sander seems like a very friendly guy, i shook his hand and asked him how Celebration was in Montreal NYE, he said it was amazing. |

Yes, Sander K was better than PVD in terms of actual performance. I was jumping up and down quite a bit. I was definitely feeling it last night. Bravo!
However, like mentioned he didn't come on until 3 a.m. and being tired already from New Year, that was awfully disappointing. Astro and Glyde were blah IMO.
Loved Sander spinning Brainbug - Nightmare. When I first got into trance I thought that tune was money. Dark strings....
Can't wait until Sander is back in town. Nonetheless, I'm not gonna suck his knob like everybody else. Def enjoy the music but not in a stalker type of fascination. |
