| I recently noticed that some of the AXIS Video Server cameras, especially the highway ones, have password-protected controls (eg. you can't zoom, pan, or focus the cameras). One of them was pretty nice, though. I was able to zoom _way_ in and look at the big green interstate signs and see exactly where it was (near St. Louis, Illinois, USA). |

Not sure if anyones already mentioned this or not cos i can't be arsed reading all the pages but..
It's not illegal in anyway. These cameras that are shown aer designed as a public webcams. If people want to use them for their own security and don't want anyone looking then its up to them to secure it.
Also you can find more cameras just by searching for the firmware version of the camer if you know it. Works best with Axis. :) |
