By artist, then title? By record label? Etc. What do you find to be most effective?

Alphabetically by record label.

I... hum... don't. All my records are in a big jumble leaning against the wall. Somehow I keep finding the records I'm looking for easily though.

By Artist makes work a lot easier when looking for them
mr. sound
by key, then within the keys by bpm.

By artist. I'm fine with knowing what kinds of styles a label is, and what artists it has, but I don't like categorizing it like that. In addition, I think of the artist of the tune before I even think of the label.

I'm actually developing a system in PHP and MySQL. I will let you all download it for free. It will be a system so you can find, edit, add anytime you want too. Right at your finger tips.

Look forward to this coming out Spring 2005.

Check http://www.dj-coleman.com for more development on this in the upcoming weeks.

Its going to be called Record Logger.

PM me and i'll see what things i can impliment into the system. I might have to charge for this... since you know its free, and taking my time. So thats why donations are open.

Tell me what you think about this idea. It will be very helpful. It will have search so if you have like 100's of records find the one by just searching.
