A very good deal in my opinion! Hope this helps!
MONTREAL, Jan. 3 /CNW/ - Jetsgo is welcoming 2005 with a seasonal sale
offering $20.05 one-way fares on flights from Toronto to every destination in the airline's network. Travel can be taken at any time in 2005.
This sale will allow travelers to take winter breaks in Los Angeles, Las
Vegas or any one of six Florida destinations, embrace winter with ski
vacations in Calgary, Kelowna, Quebec and Vancouver or visit any other Jetsgo destination by taking advantage of this special fare.
Flights can be booked from Jan. 4 to 15, for travel beginning Jan. 14,
and continuing throughout the year. The $20.05 fare is available when booking the return flight at the current low fares offered at www.jetsgo.net.
Reservations for this sale can be made on Jetsgo's Web site at www.jetsgo.net. Fares are subject to availability, and regular taxes and surcharges apply. Full details will be available at www.jetsgo.net on January 4. |

| Quite misleading with the "one-way" fares. Because you will NEVER get return fare for the same $20.50 (plus taxes). They did this last year, you'll find the $20.50 (plus tax) flight out, but the return flight will be Jetsgo's regular price. |

Two one-way tickets for $20.50 will come out to over $300? How about no. It's about $318 total to fly Toronto to L.A. That's only because one way is $20.50 while the return fare is regular price of $180. You've got a complaint about that? (silly question, what don't you have a complaint about). |

asses taxes, navcan fees, GST, Airport improvement fees, security fees etc etc and then tell me what the price is.
I know for a fact that a flight costing ZERO dollars will come out costing $150 or so by the time all the service fees and taxes are added on. |

| I recall looking at a $20 flight to montreal and it came out to about $100 after taxes and fees. So the "markup" is about 500% |

i agree with jay, its all a marketing gimmick, when you go and get the quotation on the pricings, its like doubled or even quadtripled:haha: :haha: |

| Aren't those prices usually mid week flights as well? If so then most airlines do that and if you leave/return on a weekend then its alot more expensive & like Jay says, they add all those bull fees/taxes/tarrifs & the price of the bag of peanuts:crazy: |

Asshat, I did, it's $318 return Toronto to L.A. (one direction is $20.50, the other $180), add all the taxes you just mentioned above, and it's $318. A very good price, you can't fly cheaper from Buffalo to L.A. (can't even fly direct for that matter). |

lol @ asshat
I love that word.
Domestic flights in Canada are much more expensive than that. Weekday flights to and from halifax just cost me about $600.
However, jetsgo is an ASS airline. My first experience with them was horrible, and had I flown with them over Christmas, I wouldn't have seen my family over the holidays. They ed up BIG time. |

In defence of the airline pricing scheme, other than fuel surcharges, the airlines don't control any of the additional nav fees, security charges, airport improvement fees, taxes, etc that get added to the price of a ticket that drive it up so high.
Do you complain when you go into McDonald's, a clothing store, a car lot or any other location for that matter and the prices quoted in ads / on tickets / on the boards don't include applicable taxes either?
People know to expect to have to add 15% to the price of most goods when buying them, just as they should now come to expect to add around $100 or so to the "base" cost of a flight. |
