| Ok, so I'm taking my car through the car wash near where I work at McCowan and Sheppard, on the Canadian Tire station. I had a real "happy moment" which included squeals of joy when my car was soaped up with zig zag lines of blue, yellow and pink foam. I just thought I'd share. I think it's a Simonex wash or something. Anyway, I'm never going to take my car anywhere else. :D |

yes the colours make for a much more positive car wash experience
I wouldnt think it was thread worthy, but I see your joy - everytime im in a car wash I wonder if its going to be the colour streams and when its not I feel slightly dissapointed.
so I ask you... are the colours there to make us happy when we use it or un-happy when we are at a place that doesnt have colours?
this would blend into my next theory that perhaps the colours (which induce an obvious joy as you describe) are meant as a lure to us and to keep us coming back or prefer their car wash over another. Great marketing even though it was probably by accident.

I paid about 8 bucks for the wash (with gas) and actually got a free wash because the first time I paid for it at the pump the wash was broken for a few hours, so I got a free ticket for my next wash.
Car washes are always fun, but this one really took the cake, and thought the TA's would appreciate it's modern and colourful performance!
Does this make me strange? I am a wacko Jack-o after all! LOL!:D |

The Sunoco Ecowash (touchless) have 3 colors and the newer Petro Canada ones have 4 (3 colors plus a winter or summer color)!
I only use Sunoco for fuel (94 octane) so I tend to only use the Echowash gas-station carwashes - but the Petro wash is good as well (not touchless though, yikes!). |

You know, that's the thing... I was straight as an arrow 'cause I was on my way to work. I couldn't imagine how much more exciting it would have been to have been in an altered state. Gotta try that soon (not driving, of course, but as a passenger). Hey, who wants a ride through the car wash!?! |
