TOTA: I need a new watch.

As the topic states. During Tiesto on Dec 11, I was pumping my fist to a particularly excellent tune, and my watch broke. One of the links broke right out of the goddamn band, and took one of the tubes from another link with it. Same problem as my other broken watch. No jewellry stores in the entire area can fix this, and a new band from Esquire is $330. that. Not covered under warranty either. :whip: "Aftermarket" metal bands always look cheap, ty, and never quite match the watch. I refuse to get a leather band.

I was thinking of a Fossil Philippe Starck watch. They're different. I like them. Particularly this model, steel band with a negative display.

Yeah yeah digital whatever, it's different, like I said.

I also like this one.

A watch that I would wear would generally be pretty minimalistic, and no more than about $150 or so. I'm not going down that road again with a goddamn watch again after the bull I've been through with Esquire.

I'd KILL for one of these (Movado Imperio, fap fap fap):

Sadly, I lack $2000 to blow on a watch.

Oh, for comedy, here's my watches with broken bands (that both work perfectly fine otherwise).

RULE: Buy cheap (but nice looking) watch only.

After loosing 2 TAG Heuer watches (both automatic movement w/ chrono) over the last 5 years - I don't even wear a watch anymore. My dad wasn't too happy about the loss either (got first one for graduation). I think he is still mad at me.

I haven't had the same problem with sunglasses (yet), but yes, I agree.
