I think van is sorta like von, which is basically 'of'. For instance, Maximillain von Habsburg = Max of Habsburg = His name is max and he is from Habsburg. |

| Oh, and van Buuren is pronounced "Boo-ren". He corrected the ID&T guy on one of the old A State Of Trance's when he pronounced it 'byer-in'. |
