Me too...because 'lange' means 'tall one' or just 'tall' in Dutch. And it sounds stupid to pronounce it like that.

Yes! And Paul is pronounced Pol. So together we have Pol van Dooyk. Heard it on German Viva.

Over here we pronounce zabiela as zab - ela

Lol, lol, lol. I didn't mean, how to pronounce Biomehanika (every stupid can), but I was asking about Yoji. I saw few theories on the Tiësto vs. Yoji poll.

EDIT: BTW, how's with "Gielen" or Sven "Maes".

the dutch g is pronounced differently than a normal g, but try to say ch with heavy "throatscraping", and then add ee-len

and you have no learnt how to pronounce gielen

and the "tij" in tijs is prounced like the english word tie , and then just add a s, tiesto explains it better in the another day at the office dvd, he explains the pronounce in the grooveradio interview at that cafe

Gielen (with a hard Dutch 'g' not the English one)
Maes = Maas with a long 'a'

d-miurge
in french

Paul van Dyk = 'Pol van Deek'
Armin van Buuren = 'Ach-meen van Buch-en'
Tiesto = 'Tee-e(like in 'ev')-ss-to'
Rouzbeh Delavari :crazy: = 'Rooz-Be(like in 'ev')-dela-varee'
