I was wondering...
When you listen to Trance music, do you listen from the begining of the track to the end of it or do you skip a min or 2 to the breakdown, buildup or the actual melody?
And, when the melody is finished to you listen to the last min of the track?

I usually try to skip the whole thing.
Nah.
No, the first time I just skip through it, if its any good I listen to the whole thing. |

| You may as well listen to the radio edit if you only want the melody. |

| The whole thing, because if you skip you will surely miss something great :) |

| As for me, I listen to the whole track but I'm just wondering how other people listen to Trance music :) |

| The whole thing, always. It's time consuming, but don't feel I'm properly experiencing a production without listening from start to finish. |

When I listen to a track for a first time ---> whole,surpises..
Next times I skip 1,2,3,4 mins.... |

| Usually the whole thing, but I find myself skipping to the next track during the outro quite often since they are pretty predictable on almost all of the tracks... |

Trance is my main subgroup, and I listen to the whole thing. I like the progression of the track.
With techno on the other hand, I find the track to be more of a "statement" rather than an "essay". You can listen to a smaller portion of it to get the main idea. But out of habit, I listen to the whole thing. |

| its either whole thing or a set... if u dont listen either of those 2 (like skipping etc), you will probably miss the essence of edm, climaxes and anti-climaxes |
