The guy is just ing brilliant...absolutely incredible...even I'm impressed :p Noam Chomsky with an attitude would describe him perfectly...

My favourite one is his religious rant...hahahaha

"When it comes to bull, big time major league bull, you have to stand in awwwwe, in awwwwwe, of the all time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims: RELIGION...no contest no contest...

Religion, easily has the greatest bull story ever told...religion has actually convinced people than there's an invisible mannnn, living in the skyyyy, who watches everything you do, every minute of every day...and the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do...and if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever till the end of time.................................but he loves you....hahahahahahahahaha...he loves you...he loves you and he needs money!!!!!! He always needs money...he's all powerful, all perfect, all knowing and all wise...somehow...just cant handle money...hahahaha...religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes and they always need a little more....now you talk about a goooood bull story.......hoooolllyyy tttt!!!

But i want you to know, i want you to know something...this is sincere...i want you to know, when it comes to believing in God, I really tried...i really really tried...i tried to believe that there is a God who created each of us in his own image and likeness, loves us very much, and keeps a close eye on things...i really tried to believe that...but i gotta tell ya, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize, something is kked up....something is wrong here...war, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption and the ice capades...something is definitely wrong...this is not good work...if this is the best God can do, I am not impressed...results like these do not belong on the resume of a supreme being...this is the kind of you would expect from an office temp with a bad attitude!!!

And just between you and me, in any decently run universe, this guy would have been out on his all-powerful ass a long time ago...and by the way, i say this guy, because I firmly believe, looking at these results, that if there is a God, it has to be a man... no woman could or would ever things up like this...so, so...if, if, if there is God, if there is, I think most reaaaaasonable people might agree that he's at least incompetant and maybe, just maybe, doesn't give a ...doesn't give a !!!"

hahahaha...Oh My God...ing brilliant...

If you consider disillusionment, self-abasement and a false sense of security and comfort good things, then yeah, he sidestepped them.

No I meant, voluteer work with the poor, helpless, oppressed. Good things command far less media attention than bad things so they never get any credit!
j_spot
so alec seems to think that only religios people can perform these acts?
no, anybody can help the poor(etc) if they feel like it, they dont need religion to tell them to do it.

carlin is great, and I want to see him dearly before he(or I) die

I didn't say only religious people do these things, I did say that they do do these things. And there's no ing brainwashing in church, please, if you don't want to go you don't go, no one forces you to!

You're right. I stand corrected. There is no brainwashing in church, only sexual molestation. Or do they entice them to go to their homes with candy and then give it to them up the ass?
j_spot
are you kidding me?!?!
no brainwashing?

wow..go to a christian youth group, tell me that again
or religious extremists who pervert their holy text, and tell me that they arent brainwashing.

See once again you take those few events that get heavily mediated! But ignore the rest

Epicurus
Ummmm...Alec...those few events? I mean I haven't exactly started...you see, i haven't mentioned the Crusades, the burning at the stakes, witch hunting, making people pay for their places in heaven, the Spanish Inquisition, and so forth.

Not to mention that the entire rationale of religion is to control society by inculcating baseless drivel into people's mind without a shred of evidence about a God that will punish you if you don't do what they tell you to do.

Great way to built a free-thinking, rational society. Let's all have faith in this invsible God while the current state of affairs directly contradicts his existence. And let's ostrasize those who question his existence and marginalize them from this great society. I have one word that describes organized religion: Bull :)
