Having lived in Vancouver all my life, and then staying in Toronto and Ottawa in the last 2 years, I can conclude that Vancouver is the most beautiful city in the world (nevermind the fact I've never been outside north america :) ). The first winter I experienced in ontario was awful. it was mid october and i had my heaviest winter jacket on, with gloves, scarf, hat, the works. my friends from montreal and TO were making fun of us "bc kids", while walking around in a t-shirt. but for partying, vancouver has quite a few parties going on, but for the big name dj's, most of them visit TO. but don't go to TO in the winter, lining up would be no fun.
i never experience humidity and wind chill til i came east  |

speaking of 'yearlies' Other than the obvious ones(Ie canada day, new years) Calgary is one hella party town for Stampede week. You dont even hafta go cowboy for it. And there is a sweet opening and closing party. This years opener was MAx graham, and closer Was gatecrahser tour. Last year was Oakie and Christopher lawrence...so yeah. Thats our party...
Is there an approx time of year you would be comin up? |

Really depends on which end of Canada you decide to visit...
Vancouver's pretty cool, pretty scenery etc.
Calgary's very friendly, especially the chicks.
Toronto have great lookin' women but depending on which club you go to they can have serious attitude because they know it. (ick). But there are some clubs on a certain night that's just right. :)
Montreal, what can I say? They party hard, a great party town from what I've heard but I've never been :(
If ya need more info, just ask! |

if you want snow, you have to come to ottawa. i'm here right now and its FRICKIN cold!!! a few weeks ago it dipped to -10C with wind chill. now i have my heavy winter jacket, gloves, and tube on, but i haven't whipped out the hat yet...probably will soon though. i'm still not use to this weather! :eyes: |

are you kidding? Ottawa isnt cold at all! Come to Calgary(or even worse, Edmonton)youll find out what cold is. I just cant wait till the release the new wind chill study, suddenly -30 is like -45 cuz of the new factor...and we wonder where frostbite comes from.
its not cold this week, but last week was down to -10 -15 range. still snow on the ground AN I LOVE IT!!! I cant wait to go snowboarding!
BTW got any antifrost creme?

ottawa isn't cold?!?!?! *shiver* i brace myself before stepping outside...take a deep breathe, and attack the cold. i feel like i'm preparing to go into a warzone. when i go out, all i feel is pain. my legs get numb, my feet are numb, my eyeballs hurt, i can't move my nose, and i swear that my ears aren't attached to my head anymore. *shiver* ok i'm never ever going to calgary between september and april |
