if you could make it to England, you have Creamfields, 40,000 people attending with all the worlds major DJ's :)
the Mixmag tent last year was awesome, Armin, Ferry, PvD, Judge Jules, Halliwell, Chris Lawrence :) and the usual house and hardstyle stuff :)
i read somewhere its the worlds biggest outdoor festival? i could be wrong |

thanks for the suggestions...
I dunno about massive outdoor events... Me and my friend went to a massive in california called Monster massive during haloween week end and it wasn't that great.
The next night, haloween night, we went to see armin van burren which i think honestly was a better party. It was at a club. More intimate, the sound system was 10x better then at the rented out space.
keep those suggestions comming..
one person we HAVE to see while we are there is Armin Van Burren.. =) |

Ok massive outdoor events can be quite hard and annoying sometimes: a LOT of walking, weather is always tricky, too many dj's to see, no intimate feel.
However I think Dance Valley is the best massive outdoor festival I ever went. The location is superb! crowd is an combination of everything. Everybody reeaaaaalllly goes for it, but you have space on the grass/hill to relax and chil.
You just have to see a full dance valley mainstage! THe view is :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: .
As for intimate feel: last year when adam beyer was spinning in the techno tent it was a real intimate atmosphere there. Also with sander kleinenberg. Well sometimes you have to be lucky to walk in right tent/area at the right time.
Other really good festivals in the netherlands:
Extrema
Mysteryland
Awakenings (techno)
Defqon (harder styles)

well if you talk about amount of drugs used you are right/
Been to ibiza last year and it is really great! Great vibe, great clubs, great djs, nice girls! But i think you can't really compare it too huge dance events. It is an different kind of partying! |
