Yeah, I'm not sure if I made the mistake or where I got the original info had the dates posted wrong.
Quite a few people seemed to have got the dates mixed up because of it. Oddly, I didn't even realize it until earlier this week but have been too lazy to update hte calendar. :p

Not really much around on it.
Skills events draw their own crowds (18+ events and most are 18-20 I'd say). I wanted to go Friday and actually would have it Groovetickets didn't say the event was frickin' sold out when it wasn't. Wasn't nearly sold out, apparently. Heard it wasn't too packed Friday night with KvA, Pulser, etc and that the rain kept people away. But the music was amazing, nonetheless.
Word is Saturday night's turnout was awesome and the night was awesome, too. Andy Moor blew people away. Matt Darey was awesome, too...and KvA did a surprise set at the end of the night and blew people away, too.
I was sooooooo close to going Saturday night but at the last minute, my senses came around and said to myself $50 (the door price) isn't worth it when Matt Darey and Andy Moor were the only two DJs I really cared seeing and it was only for 2 - 2 1/2 hours of the show. Skills event prices are typically a bit absurd, but they can get away with it because people still go to their events.
I shoulda just bought tickets when they were $25 or $30, but wasn't sure what I was gonna be doing this weekend or where I was gonna be before presales were upto $40.
Heard the sound was way too loud at points and made people's ears bleed.
Heard the setup was pretty good with a lot of lighting that was seen at the LP Afterparty there. |
