86ed is just slang to be kicked out and banned from a place. If you are 86ed at a place, you are banned from a place.
Many rumors as to the origin, but no one knows for sure. Everything from coffins being 8 feet long and buried 6 feet deep, to a NYC penal code 86 (at one time) meaning baring places from serving a certain individuals alcohol. |

btw anyone here ever go to minna on wednesdays?...jondi & spesh are wicked dj's and there are like 400 people going off from 6-10 every wednesday...pretty qool happy hour thing |

2. Crystal Method is a DJ set. Says right in my schedule there. :)
3. Yes, been to Qool Wednesdays at 111 Minna. My office is less than a block away. The crowd there is a bit too fake for my comfort, though. Have tons of scene friends who go there regularly, though. |

thx dave....the crystal method flyers and posters don't say dj set...too bad for ppl who show up expecting a live show...
okay seaman and chable the weekend after is very good...but also robbie rivera is playing 1015 on the 2nd....according to a 1015 flyer i saw today
and yeah qool is an odd crowd, but people are they to go nutz so i like it... |
