oh add Lauryen Hill.
lil'kim, trina, foxy, gangsta boo, etc voices are so high pitched and annoying. |
Best female rappers are Missy, Lil Kim, Remy Martin, Eve.
Badu's not a hip-hop artist but she did give birth to the greatest rapper in the world's baby. |

I swear Lil' Kim is a man. Missy does have some funky beats, but I can't stand seeing her suck on those lollipops 24/7. Eve... what? ... who? She's a has been, never was. Your right, Erykah isn't hip hop. I guess I choose Lauryen Hill, not her solo work, but with the Fugees. |

She's also not a hiphop artist. She's a soul/rnb vocalist. Lauryn Hill does rap, but I dunno if I'd call her a hiphop artist, as she is blatantly most known for her songwriting talent. The only good female lyricists I can think of atm are Ursula Rucker and Sarah Jones:
And even these two are not hiphop artists compared to the males posted in this thread so far. I think I share Jørg-1 from Tungtvann's (norwegian hiphop group) prejudice that women cannot rap as well as men can. Rah Digga is the only exception I can think of so far.. |

Ohh !! I didn't even know Ursula Rucker was into this genre. I've only heard her things off of the French ik7 label.
Rah Digga, i forget her. She's more funk than Missy. |

sarah jones is incredibly talented but she's considered more of spoken-word perfomer/slam poet than a rapper/lyricist. |
