I just got a cdj-1000mk2 for xmas. it's a really great toy. at first i found it really hard to cue with. i turned the pickup and stop speeds down so it's the same as my 1200's now. as easy or easier to mix with now. super nice piece of kit.

as far as the cdj-200 goes. that looks really super. if it had a vinyl mode i would have been punching myself for having gotten a cdj-1000mk2.

as far as the djm-500 goes. i really like what it brings to the table. It's price is WAY too high for what it has though. Anyone with a clue would go get a top end xone/ucler/bozak/ueri mixer for less than that price if they were that concerned with sound quality.
If they could take a grand off the price they'd have me looking to buy.

Dood. What are your settings? Which notch do you have yours set at?

I'm having a hell of a time getting this thing cued. The touch-sensitive top is giving me a bit of a smack trying to get used to.

When in vinyl mode - any amount of pressure on the top and it stops - not like vinyl at all.

Not sure if you have figured it out yet (probably) but you can adjust the levels of sensitivity with the little black dial above Vynil and CDJ mode.

Yeah, I've been fooling with those trying to get them right. I think it just takes more practice than anything else.

Found switching it to CDJ mode from vinyl makes it easier sometimes as well.

Man, I must be slow or something.

I am struggling with this piece of equipment more than anything.

Funny thing: I picked up the Denon unit in under hour - it's been a week and the CDJ1000MK2 still gives me trouble.

Anybody up for giving some lessons? lol..
