I was right there at the protest, I attend YORK...it was a protest of anti bush and anti globalisation rhetoric...i hope that is clear,
York is notorious for forcing its students to choose a side between the israeli people and the muslim faith.
I can't fathom why for one second why we would be talking of Italy considering Italians culturally/religiously/geographically/ have little in common with either people.
-----let the bored bohemians have their day in court and lets not drag middle east frustrations into an already confused post-secondary institution. |

Well Shadowolf never denied being Jewish and never said he was Italian and even if he did say he was Italian it is still very odd for someone with a background which is totally uneffected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to have such an anti-Muslim/Arab/Middle Eastern stance and such a pro Israeli stance.
Shadowolf continues to make people who are anit-semetic sound like a bunch of Hitlers where being semetic simply means that you are for having a Jewish state (Israel) and being anti-semetic would be being against having a Jewish state in Israel which is what many Palestinians are not because they oppose a Jewish state existing but only because it took away from their ability to have an Arab state.
Someone who is uneffected and not a part of either group would usually be indifferent when it comes to supporting or not supporting a Jewish state because the only group which would truly be affected and concerned about a Jewish state existing or not would be someone who is Jewish because people who aren't a part of either group are usually not semetic or anti-semetic because most people could care less if it doesn't affect them in any way shape or form.
So since Shadowolf does seem so affected by people being anti-semetic when it would have nothing to do with him and since he is so anti Muslim/Arab/Middle Eastern people thats why people have come to suspect that he is not Italian because the magority don't give a and if they do give any at all then it certainly isn't as big of a as Shadowolf gives which seems to be one big ing .:tongue3
I have friends who are Jewish and Muslim and/or Arab and/or Middle Eastern and ones who are neither and the only ones who care so strongly and passionately are the 2 groups affected by it the most while others are indifferent. Wouldn't Shadowolf be more concerned about creating a Catholic state then maintaining and supporting a Jewish one if he was Italian? I personally care more about creating a Catholic state because thats what I am and I could care less about a Arab state or Jewish state to be honest here. |

There are many chrtistians that hate the arabs too, and muslims. There are many religious groups that don't want a Palestinian state because of obvious religious reasons.
Even tho I don't know what the hell you are talking about still cause of that insane writing, it still doesn't explain why shadowolf should remove his Italian flag. So he hates arabs and muslims...ok so what? So that makes him jewish? OK...fine so let's say that rediculous observation is true...does that mean he can't be italian?!?! I wasn't born in Israel and I'm not jewish but I grew up there for the most part of my life...Besides, what is it to you? You seem to be REALLY PASSIONATE about the issue yourself, maybe you should take downt that Canadian flag :toothless |

Yeah maybe the Greeks hate the Persians and the Turks and Persians also hate each other because of all their wars and such but most Italians don't care!
What religious groups don't want a Palestinian state? The Muslims and both Orthadox and Catholics support a Palestinian state with the Muslims supporting it because of all their religious history and since it was theirs before and both Catholic and Orthadox support one as well because there are many Catholic an Orthadox Palestinians in that area and it is the birth place of Jesus and has a lot of religous value as well.
There is a total of 6 billion people on Earth and 2 billion are Christian and close to 1.5 billion Muslims so thats a total of around 3.5 billion people which would make up more than half of the world and all the religions combined so what religious groups are opposed to it and what are these obvious reasons you speak of?
Shadowolf could be an Italian Jew but I highly doubt that he is Italian Catholic because he cares way too much about this topic and for Israel to be.
starsearcher are your parents not Jewish? I figure your parents were Jewish and you decided to go Athiest on their ass so if this is the case then you are still born Jewish and citizens of Israel must be Jewish and if you were some Arab born in the area then I highly doubt that you would put up an Israeli flag:tongue3 |

I am a Canadian, I will not by any strech of the imagination take my flag down. I wasn't aware that this forum was being read by one of my professors, if that was the case clearly you would be asked to leave this class because of your clearly closeminded, ignorant, foolish and Israelcentric opinions. With that said...
Italian is spelt with a captial I, let's make that VERY clear. (sorry about the all caps) -1 for grammer. :whip: My father worked to ing hard to come to this beautiful land to see some youth determine the criterion with which to display ones flag. You decide what you want and let others do the same.
As for your redundant stament about your feelings on the entire pool of Christian thought, you have missed the boat completley, ironically not the one that brought you here. Please don't speak on behalf of a group which you clearly don't understand.
Finally my statment was one of fact, yes the protest was marred by a few unruly comments by a few opportunist, but it was ultimatley about Bush. I am passionate about ALL culture, which is what has brought me to York, only to see the most disgusting displays of childlike behaviour; which people disguish as cultural pride. |

According to the bible this land belongs to the hebrews and the israelites...or have you not heard of the bible. This is the promised land and etc and etc...it's the land that jesus was born in and he was jewish before hand.
Therefore many christian religious groups exists that are against having a paestinian country instead of Israel there or for that matter are against the Palestinian uprising. In fact I saw a show about it recently on CBC I think...There are tours that take many Christians from the US to Israel for that purpose - religious trips and etc...anyway I don't want to argue with you anymore. :tongue3
Go read the bible and see why Christians like the idea of Israel and it being where it is. |

How can you even say that Jesus was Jewish if Jewish people don't even believe that our Jesus who got killed was the real massiah and believe that they killed a false Prophet and massiah? Jewish people don't believe that Jesus existed period and don't believe in Him the last time I checked.
The only Christian group which is fully supportive of Israel and a Jewish state and against a Palestinian state would be the Seventh Day Evangelists so get your straight and stop speaking about a group which you don't understand!
Orthadox and Catholic and the magority of the rest have no problem with a Palestinian state since it is the birth place of Jesus and there are many Palestinian Orthadox and Catholic people and seeing how the Christians and Muslims are on the same side over there and have lived in peace in that region even since the Crusades which ended up with Muslims and Christians agreeing to allow each side practice their religion freely and live in peace together.
You actually think that Catholics and Orthadox ect.would rather have that region belong to the Jewish people instead of taking it or sharing it? You seem to think that Seventh Day Evangelists are the magority of the Christian faith where in reality they are a very very small percentage and not the magority which is Catholic,Orthodox,Protestant ect! |
