I decided to give her a chance anyways seeing as the situation would not have been date oriented anyways. Sadly she came through as a gold digger with flying colours.
So not being suckered makes me cheap?
I feel sorry for you.

well you said something like " me being true gentleman i'm not gonna say what happened in those 2 hours" so normally everybody will assume that u 2 had some hot, steamy, backseat sex, right???
cause if you knew that she was milking you and you were talking for 2 hours you would say it, not leave it to out imagination to figure it out what actually happened.
my 2 cents about that situation :
it was your first date, so of course you should pay for dinner and drinks, it's not gold digging its just mating ritual, woman love gentleman they wanna feel safe and secure and im pretty sure they'll not go for "lets split bills on a first date" kinda guy. now im not saying "we gots to pay everything", but you wanna present yourself in best light so......
BUT for that gas money situation hehehehe, hey IF she didnt have any money, it i would pay for it even if she was golddigging, but i would laugh my ass off. and then she would never see me again.
but hey, thats just me.
