I just started a new job last week, at an engineering firm, I am busy learning all sorts of new machinery like a Robotic welding arm and CNC stuff and design and etc etc.
They are sending me to Japan in May :D ! Good ! To go for some training course.
So far everything is going well, everyone dresses casually, They gave me a load of Tshirts, and hats and shoes and all sorts of , so I don't even need to even buy clothes for work :D and if I need any more clothes they have a whole store room full, so I can just take what I need.
The only prob though is that it is 100km away, I gotta get up at 5 every morning start driving at 6 to get there by 7:30, So I'm kinda looking for a new car to drive (The car I'm driving at the moment kinda won't last long)So today I started looking for a new car, I found out that Ford has an awsome special on a Ford Focus 1.6 ambiente LINK , So i'm thinking of buying one. I've decided not to go with second hand, cause I have to drive too far, and I don't have time to mess around with a car if it does decide to go ape balls.
Did I mention I'm going to Japan !!

I work for a company called Tricom, we make Cellphone towers and microwave towers and put them up thru africa and asia.
I am going to Japan for training on a special type of lazer cutting machine, of which there are like 20 in the world. This thing is freaken huge and they take 5 months to produce and ship 1 unit. It's like a huge lathe with a lazer cutting head that moves on 6 axis, and it can cut almost any profile, it is used to make special deep core drilling stuff and in F1 car manufacture and you can cut words on tubing at any angle etc etc etc. I will be going for 4 weeks.
Getting stuck in traffic is a bitch, this morning it was raining and people all over had cars breaking down... it was a nightmare. (Note to self... do not buy a TOyota runX, they seem to breakdown in wet weather) |

Move.
Have fun in Japan as well if you get an expense account. If not, things are a little pricey.
:p
