Isolated College Students

So, I'm here at my college (Seattle U, which is a small, private college) and I only have like 5 friends up here, and we just smoke all the time and play video games and go to the occational party. Not saying that I don't enjoy doing all of that.

The problem is everybody else here seems to be really stuck up and full of themselves and it's so in hard to meet new people and find someone I can actually relate to and chill with other than the same 5 people I generally hang out with. Well, there is nobody up here, in fact I feel like some of the people up here are in crazy.

I've visited about 3 other universities that my friends go to and everytime, I have a blast. The people are easier to talk to and it's easy to relate to them better. They aren't stuck up and clicky. I mean, I feel like I'm back in in high school. The only time I actually had fun this week was when 4 of my friends came to visit me.

So, right now I feel so isolated and almost alone, which can be fun at times because I just get high and play video games all night, but most of the time it sucks. I feel so anti-social. So I'm transfering out, probably to Arizona State, but not just because of my isolation, but I actually am switching majors to Architecture.

So, are there any other college students that feel kind of isolated?

Things are normally happening at colleges outside the dorm. Find parties aand things downtown. If that's too hard, just go to some frat rushes. I went through 4 years of college frat rushes and never joined a single fraternity. I also knew people in every friggin' frat who knew me from the rushes that invited me to their parties, so I never really needed to join any one of them either, since I could party at all of them. Figure it out.

Well, I can pretty much assure you that you will not have that problem if you go to ASU. And besides that you will probably be able to get a girl much easier (assuming that you want a girl).

Pfff... Big deal, I'm going to have to live with my parents all throughout university.

And they arent even going to pay for a small portion of my education.

Damn it.

Bring beer. People will like you, or something. Just stand around somewhere and hand out beer.

I go out of my dorm a lot to go around the city with people and to house parties. And also we don't have frats. I'm just have this feeling of isolation and lonleyness that's been affecting me for a while.

Well, no drinking societies on post, i.e. frats, is a big downer. You can do a deal like Beeps said and bring beer, someone will come. Better yet, you could establish a drinking society by just getting a keg every Friday night. Funny how folks can be drawn to it. Make it "Free Beer", the two most powerful words in the English language, to begin with a few weeks, and thereafter make a cover charge to cover costs.

so the parties in "American Pie" or "Can't Hardly Wait" aren't really representative of the college parties over there in the states?

you know, hot chicks, booze, random sex, hot chicks, dudes throwing up, things breaking, hot chicks... that kind of thing.

always wanted to go study abroad just to see if it was true.

its true:gsmile: the rest of the world has a kickin club scene, we have our house partys.

as for your situation, join a club or something.
my sister had the same problem, and she joined this community service club and met a ton of cool people which totally transformed her view of college.

In canada, for the party having we all like to run around nude, with maple leaves over our genitals. Then the shladies like to wrestle in maple syrup, all of the losers get the syrup licked off of them by the men eh?

We then forcefeed beer to beavers, and make them fight.
Then we make snow angels, and have the having of the snowball fights. Later on all the shladies pair up with mens and the couples devour eachothers maple leaves, and ingage in sexual intercourses.

At the end of the night, we all go to "the rich guy's" extremely large igloo and suckle together on the teat of a mother polar bear.

Then we wake up and remember we forgot to study for the touque knitting exam, and we start to hit eachother in the headface with hockey sticks, and call eachother "hosers"
