agreed....also check out Numark. yeah they're not the greatest but i bought my Numark Battle Pak for 300 dollars. had 2 direct drive numark tt1625's, a 2chan mixer with 2 band eq, numark headphones, and 2 cartridges/needles. perfect. used it for about 2 years till my friend sold me his 1 month old technics (the fool!) |

the amount of clueless twats posting in this thread is ridiculous. djing is not "a piece of piss". if you want to be a good DJ its actually very hard to perfect a mix, to perfect your sound, and generally be different. it takes years of practice to be able to DJ to a standard that you are used to hearing in a liveset.

Today people will go to see him even if he doesn’t mix his tracks, even if he plays ty tracks, because he is Tiesto.
If you don’t agree with what I said than good luck staying a ty bedroom dj your whole life, and have fun doing what you like. I know a dj who can’t mix for , but he got a residence in a club just because there was a tv show about him, and how did he get on the tv show when he can’t mix, the answer is simple, his dad works there. And a final note here, the only hard thing about starting djing is buying the equipment because its expensive. |

Even though they cost more, get some technics. It's better to spend the money now and not have to replace them later. It will be a hell of a lot easier for you to learn with consistent, quality decks. There is nothing I hate more than to show up at some lame house party, get asked to play, and they have some belt-driven NuMark tables. You queue the record and it hesitates before it starts spinning. Annoying. :whip: |

well to be honest I done a little search on the internet for Technics and they are a bit to expensive to start I would say, well for the budget I got at least, they kind of are out of my league for now, I only want to start with something reliable and OK till I get to know more about DJing then spend a big money on a proper set after a year or 2!
By the sound of it you all agree that I shouldn’t be considering Numark!!!
Take a little trip to www.decks.co.uk/ or any other good websites that you know of (leave the link please) and let me know what would be your second/third choices???
