There is a positive point in all this. "Progressive" is not a genre by itself. The authors in the book "Last night a DJ saved my Life" define progressive pretty much as anything that is different from what had been originally seen as typical or normal.
There is plenty of progressive trance that had all sorts of rythym along with melody. Progressive really means different and changing and evolving, and that would seem to be a good thing, whether it be trance, house, breaks etc. |
