Look, if I misjudged you - forgive me. Your views came off crass without due explanation.

Thats fine, being presumptuous won't win you many friends...

I know many of the laws of the Torah. Except those laws are applied more stringently or less so depending on sect, she is in the liberal sect.

Besides I am Catholic and Hispanic, I don't believe there is a law governing who you should marry but I know its frowned upon. My family member's outside of my nuclear family were a bit perplexed by my choice. But I never discriminate against religion, I judge people by their character and nothing more.

No, but disliking someone because they're black does. Just sayin'.

of course it does, and if everyone disliked sharon just because he was jewish and for no other reason then they are anti-semitic but they hate for plenty of other reasons.

the thread starter seems to be implying that if you hate sharon, you must be anti-semitic even since he is jewish, whichs is just crazy.

the point of my post is that while open anti-semitism is not as common as it once used to be, it's making a big come back. people who are blind to the problem are only helping it spread.

MLK said something to the effect of "If you're not fighting evil you are helping it". There's roughly about 15 million Jews world-wide - yet no one considers us a "minority". When Jews are oppressed - like poster above said, it's " all". when we stand up for ourselves - we're called Nazis, Zionists, and so on.

You don't have to go far - The lawmakers in Russian parliament proposed a law few weeks ago to outlaw Jewish religion!!!! HOW MUCH MORE ANTISEMITIC IT CAN GET? On which grounds???? Easy - they claimed it was a radical religion!

Hey, when you're down to 15 million folks world wide and a vast portion of the population either wants to wipe you out or doesn't really give a of what happens to you - you'd probably try to defend your ass, won't you?

Now, muslim terrorists go to blow up schools, theaters, markets, etc - yet Judaism should be "illegal"!!!! IS THAT ED UP OR WHAT?????????
Russia selling weapons to Syria - a home of Hammas and when asked says "oh, what's the big deal - they promissed us they won't use it for terrorism!"

Are you ting me? Look, I don't care what you call it - I call it desparate cry for help. But just like the rest of other times - looks like the job of defending us lies squarely on our shoulders.

So, don't tell me how to act and behave and talk when you're not facing the same situation.

Just shut it... you can not understand it and never will. I bet you never had been beaten by a mob of antisemites, chanting "die kike boy". nor do you have any physical and emotional scars to prove it. nor have you ever been discriminated against, just on basis of your religion. I have. until you experience it first hand - you will not understand.

Yes, I do feel very strongly about my convictions - it's all a product of the world I, and many others like me, live in. So, go ahead - call me a radical.

And you have a problem with racists and fascists...maybe you should first take a look at yourself in the mirror.

However, it is sad that he is correct when he said the world did all to help the Jews during WW2 cos nobody did. Sure we went to war with the Nazis (some sooner than others USA...!) but we didn't do it to help the Jews, we did it to help ourselves. We should have gone to war with em when it all started (and we still dont do it even today when we know whats going on!!)

Documentations show that already in 1941 the britsh & americans knew about the "final solution" and the extermination proccess.
the fact is, that even when the war was in its final stages, and the united forces cotrolled the air of europe, even then - they did simply nothing to help the jews.
I read once that they flew about 2280 times over Auschwitz concentartion\extermination and bombed targets around it, and havn't dropped a single (!) bomb onto the bridges and railroads that brough people there. altough they were asked to do so again and agian by jewish organiztions (who also havn't tried hard enough i guess).
even in 1944 when the war was almost over, about 700,000 jews were brought in trains from Hungary to Auschwitz and murdered, without any interference of the coalotion.

and the truth is much much deeper and unbelievble, i hope i will find time to open a thread that will sum all the facts about this.

Your frustrations are certainly not without merits. I was appalled by the anti-semitism in France while I was studying in Europe. People getting attacked on the subway, houses and temples being vandalized and the such.

However, just because it is on the rise doesn't mean you have to be a paranoid McCarthy-like worry wart. Look I don't think many people on this board (and I could be wrong) really HATE jews for being jews. I think the people that are very vocal about there dislike of the Israeli government and Sharon do so because of their personal stake in the matter. I mean there were some clear realities on why the civil war of sorts broke out in 2000. It wasn't just because of anti-semitism, though, I am sure that was the case for some. A lot of it was economic, and the political treatment many Palestinians were receiving.

That region has to be the most emotionally charged area in the world. The problems are magnifyingly more complicated than most make it out to be here and in the newspapers, talkradio shows, and news channels. However, I would be careful before accusing people of being anti-semitic. Especially (and I say this as a major generalization and Europeans should not take this as an offense) in the United States and ESPECIALLY in the Northeast. I am not saying it doesn't exist however it isn't prevalent by any means. I come from NJ and numerous elected officials at the state level are jewish, Michael Bloomberg, so on and so forth. You have every right to worry about the rise of anti-semitism but that also doesn't mean that you cry wolf just because people's opinions differ from yours. I for one hold no loyalties to anyone on this matter or any other. I avoid associating with ideologies to give all views fair and equal treatment and though. You should do the same.
