New EDM night in Gainesville, FL!

Friday, Febuary 11th I have been given complete musical control over a new bar/club in Gainesville. Location will be given out in the next couple of days, but just thank god Gainesville now has a place to go to hear a diverse selection of EDM.
I'm trying to cut the promotors out so there will be no cover, a relaxed dress code, and cheaper drink prices. Capacity is about 200-250 people and the venue is the nicest i've ever seen in this town, so i seriously hope we can pack this every week.
Friday, Febuary 11th, i will be spinning progressive house/ trance. So, mark your calender. |

100% confirmed last night. It is where that room Bacchus @ Palace used to be. It has been gutted out, and remodeled into the nicest bar/club i have seen in this crap-hole. Entrance is right next door to Silver Q. No sign yet, cause the owner hasn't decided 100% on name, but is now referred to as PLATNUM. No cover, relaxed dress code. So far the response has been unreal. Future lineups to come!!!
Friday Febuary 11th. Grand opening, I'll be spinning trance/prog all night. Don't forget to support Simons this saturday... free beer all night! |

LOL. The old Leon's/High Note. Can't wait, but tell the owner that Platnum is the worst name I've EVER heard.
It's sounds like a strip club full of 45 year old hookers.
Should be fun for about 2 months. Then it will go the way of, Vibe, Jetset, Club O, ect., ect. |

True, I hope to see you there! I'm trying to learn from those clubs mistakes i.e. strict dress codes, a cover, same dj week in/week out, and capacity too large for demand. I'm going into this with very real expectations, and the hope this venue can restore some of the scene this town used to own! |

ahhh the days of leon...god he had soo many dif clubs here...and cool afterpartys at his house loaded with umm...dope...lol...anyway ian that will be cool we will come out....:toocool: |

| high note used to have good tuesday nights (i think) back when i frist got up to gainesville. was empty but good music and some nice couches. practically just drank with the dj's and talked to them the whole nights. whatever happened with it? |

Platnum opens up EDM nights febuary 11th, but it will run every friday after that. I'm trying to rotate house, prog, trance, jungle and breaks every week. An afterparty would be a sickly idea, especially when i start getting DJs in from out of town.
High note was a good time on tuesdays, but it went the way of hip hop/pop. Anyways, hope people can come out and support this night! |
