i dont really agree with any of that uve just said
alot of djs play shorter sets all the time i dont think it makes any difference u can book them for however long u want to |
maybe a better way to put it would be that it may not be worth it for them to fly across the atlantic to only get paid for an hour's worth of work. or even fly across the country.
i think you would have less takers at $500 for the hour then $1500 for 3 hours. |

alot of djs play more than 1 set in a night so he might be earning more plus most djs would expect the club to pay for the travel costs |

you can start by telling who's your crowd.. and whether you expect them to show thanks to good PR, or just thanks to the headliner (better combined, obviously) |
my two friends are well known here, they have all had residencies at clubs here theyre popular among the crowd theyre pretty good djs, as far as promotion i got a friend that works at a radio station , i will also be posting in a forum where they post all the events for south texas and i also know a lot of people in the scene so thats a plus, and of course the headliner will attract the people. the thing is that the scene here is underground yet a lot of people attend these events, there hasnt been an event since november and the production team that throws the events has practically seen its downfall so theres a need for events right now. |

And if you get dj's from abroad, also think of travellingcosts. Some expect you to pay for their hotel as well. |
yea im aware of that, that will be taken care of too |

You could probably book Micro for pretty cheap. I don't know where you live, but he has a pretty good draw here. Jon Debo plays more progressive, but you could get him booked too. Jon Bishop plays hard trance and would probably be affordable too. |
na bro thanks for the suggestion though. Micro has come down about two times, i dont like that guy at all a lot of people will be like what? micro again, i know im on a budget and cant bring a big big dj but atleast a more decent one. |

Definitely without a doubt, we really need to do something down here.
Have you thought of where you might wanna do all this?? It would be great if we could bring a good dj, I'm sure everyone down here is dying for a big event. |
