| well the scene her is not that good the team who threw the events hasnt done anything in about 5 months. the events here have that rave feel, very underground but a lot of people attend the events. i read Darren Tate and Matt Hardwick were around 2,000. the 3,000 dollars will only be for booking the dj, a friend is gonna take care of the flight and hotel |

aye, you need to think what genre you want, and how many DJ's you want, you normally have a warm-up DJ then the Headline DJ, and most major DJ's will charge for longer sets. Then costs for the DJ, they may be willing to pay transport/hotel etc themselves or then again not, so its down to you :D
Im sure some cheap American DJ's are around, i only know ones mentioned on this forum, and their mainly progressive trance DJ's, and i aint got a clue about whats hot or not in America right now :D |

hardwick doesnt cost anything near as much as that so i doubt darren tate would either u can get hardwick for around £700.
I dont think u have appeared to have thought this through very much all u have done is looked at ur budget and started naming djs of the top of ur head just for the sake of spending it all.
Why the hell would u want to book darren tate or matt hardwick ur looking at blowing ur whole budget on one dj that i doubt anyone would want to see.
Is hardwick popular in america? i doubt he would sell any extra tickets |

| you can start by telling who's your crowd.. and whether you expect them to show thanks to good PR, or just thanks to the headliner (better combined, obviously) |

| And if you get dj's from abroad, also think of travellingcosts. Some expect you to pay for their hotel as well. |

you want the headliner to only play an hour or maybe 2? remember that these guys dont charge by the hour, its usually $XXX for up to 3 hours. They will not give you a break if its only an hour, and most headliners would want more then an hour. |

| You could probably book Micro for pretty cheap. I don't know where you live, but he has a pretty good draw here. Jon Debo plays more progressive, but you could get him booked too. Jon Bishop plays hard trance and would probably be affordable too. |
